Vintage Tube Amp

Hickok TV-3A/U TV-3 Tube Tester for Vintage HiFi Stereo or Guitar Amp or Radio. This is a genuine Hickok tester, serial number 819. It was owned by a gentleman who tinkered with radio and audio repair, but now needs to thin out his collection. It appears to be all original. We tested a metal 6L6 tube, and found the tester to be relatively accurate with great meter movement. However, we strongly suggest replacing all capacitors and other critical components for optimal performance. This is a vintage piece of equipment, and unless specifically noted above, it has not been fully restored with new components. It will inevitably need maintenance, however it’s impossible to know whether that will be next week or a few years down the road. Unless you are capable of doing this work yourself (or have access to someone who can), we suggest you revisit the idea of whether this is the right equipment for you.
