Stunning HH Scott 222c Vintage Tube Amplifier. 4x 7189 Telefunken Vintage. 4x ECC83 12AX7 Telefunken Vintage. 1x GZ34 Mullard GT Britain Vintage. Superb visual condition – look at the face, knobs, inside chassis! Slowly powered on through my variac, brought up to full levels over a couple of hours. Plays music, sounds sweet and warm HOWEVER, this is capacitor hum. Plan on doing a servicing to this amp. When playing, the music itself is superb, however caps are in need of replacing, and perhaps other parts need checking/replacing. Cover is included, as well as original manual. I will pack super safely – removing the cover, wrapping it separate, removing tubes and bubble wrapping them. Placing the amp in a box by itself with bubble wrapping galore. Double boxing the entire package and insuring. While this amp needs servicing, look at the visual condition. Original knobs, cover etc. Once of the nicest visual examples of a vintage HH Scott Integrated Stereo Tube Amplifier I’ve ever seen. Appears to have been kept on a shelf most of its life. I’ve been asked a few times to show inside. Picture below (as I cannot add more than 12 to the listing photo gallery). Up for sale, a 1958 Danelectro Corporal Model 32 tube amplifier in excellent condition and in perfect working order. Recently serviced and very original, this USA-made amp features two original Rola 8 alnico speakers and a complete vintage tube set including the pair of 50C5 power tubes. Great for guitar or harmonica, this amp has a punchy, midrange forward sound that has a distinctive bark, staying surprisingly clean at lower volumes. Dime out the volume and the circuit yields a bit of compression and rich overdrive while still staying quite focused in the bass frequencies. The circuit remains largely original, with the stock capacitors in the preamp, CTS pots that date to 1958, original transformer, and a professional recap of the main power supply. The Rola speakers both have original cones and sound great, and the stamps on the edges of the frames date the speakers to 1958 too. Cosmetically, the amp is very clean and well kept, with original tolex and grillcloth that show sparingly little wear. The plexi Danelectro logo on the face of the amp is intact, and the amp has been fitted with a new leather handle. Perhaps most surprisingly is the immaculate condition of the cardboard back panel with individual portholes for each tube. 1973 Fender Musicmaster Bass tube amp modified with a vintage 15 Jensen speaker, and modern grounded plug. 1/28/2018, just had this amp recapped and new photos show the new parts and a plastic bag with the old parts. It sounds absolutely amazing. The baffle was replaced before I aquired the amp and is particle board, painted black. The speaker is a tight fit and the amp is rather light for its components. It sounds amazing and that speaker provides a marvelous thump and growl with P90′s, and intense warm lows with single coil pickups. There is a sweet spot between 6 and 8 with beautiful breakup. It sounds cool dimed, but too fuzzy and brown for my taste. It has a baby deluxe vibe before it starts to really overdrive. Great amp, great size.
