Stunning HH Scott 222c Vintage Tube Amplifier. 4x 7189 Telefunken Vintage (measured on TV-7: 72, 72, 71, 71: min > 42) All Matched #’s. 4x ECC83 12AX7 Telefunken Vintage (measured on TV-7: 39/38, 38/38, 40/39, 38/39: min >32) All Matched #s Blackburn. 1x GZ34 JJ Electric (Tesla). Superb visual condition – look at the face, knobs, inside chassis! Slowly powered on through my variac, brought up to full levels over a couple of hours. Plays music, sounds sweet and warm. This amp was originally listed as having a loud hum… I checked out the GZ34, and one side was measuring super low. I replaced with a new GZ34, now it is wonderful!!!!!! There is still a very minor hum, audible only if I place my ear very close to the speaker when no music is coming through. Also – when the volume (loudness) is at 0, I can still hear a bit coming through the speakers… Very low but audible. Likely needs a good pot. Perhaps needs a filter cap to be perfect. I’ve spent a few hours listening to this warm, loud, punchy and extremely detailed amp. It is simply amazing. For long term, extended use, plan on servicing (caps), but as-is, it is damn impressive. If you are local to 01749, please come listen to it. There is simply nothing to hide with this amp. Cover is included, as well as original manual. I will pack super safely – removing the cover, wrapping it separate, removing tubes and bubble wrapping them. Placing the amp in a box by itself with bubble wrapping galore. Double boxing the entire package and insuring. Original knobs, cover etc. Once of the nicest visual examples of a vintage HH Scott Integrated Stereo Tube Amplifier I’ve ever seen. Appears to have been kept on a shelf most of its life. I’ve been asked a few times to show inside. Picture below (as I cannot add more than 12 to the listing photo gallery). This is a VINTAGE 1960′s Gibson guitar amplifier. Made in the USA. Model GA-35 RVT, Lancer. It is 100% complete and functions properly. I have cleaned the controls and inputs, no scratchy pots. It was recently service. The only things needing replaced were the power section capacitors and a bias cap. Both pilot lamps work, as do all the controls. This is a road worthy TONE MONSTER! Channel 1 controls are volume, bass, treble. Channel 2 controls are volume, bass, treble, reverb, tremolo speed and intensity. This is the Gibson response to the Fender Deluxe Reverb. Also similar to the Ampeg Gemini II. The tube lineup includes USA and Holland brands… RCA, Amperex Bugle Boy, Westinghouse. The CTS speaker is dated the 30th week of 1966. Includes a copy of the schematics. This amp is plenty loud enough to gig with. If you are looking for the tone and power of a 100 watt Marshall, this is not your amp. If your looking for the tone of a Fender Twin Reverb without making your ears bleed or breaking your back, you will love this amp… And IT’S A GIBSON!! Old electronics are scratched, worn, chipped, cracked, dirty, dusty, stained, ugly, tinkered with, missing parts, etc. The exteriors have wear that includes cuts, holes, tears, scuffs, missing stitching, missing or replaced feet and knobs. In the course of servicing over the years, they typically do not have all original components. Old electronics typically hum and have scratchy controls. As a basic test I have operated this amp for at least 4 hour recently and it did not fail, smoke, blow fuses, etc. Old electronic can fail at any time. That is a bargain. This item is heavy and will require extra time and care to package. Please take a look at the last picture and my other listings. I have a great collection of amps for sale now. One need a little service. One is a wall hanger. The tube amps include a made in USA Gibson Lancer GA-35 RVT with reverb and 12 inch speaker, an American made Gibson BR-4 that is in need of restoration, a rare Alamo Fiesta amplifier with tremolo and a discontinued Fender Super Champ XD modeling amp. The Solid state amps include a vintage Sears, Roebuck and Co. 1-12 combo with distortion, A Kansas made JMF Electronics Spectra 122 combo with reverb and master volume, a Marshall 12 watt Lead 12 model 3005 Mini Micro stack with 2 10 inch Celestion G10D-25 speaker cabinets and a battery or AC powered Vox DA5 modeling amp with a plethora of effects. WOW, that’s a room full! We will work through the claim together until things are right.
