Vintage Tube Amp

These Mark III’s have just been completely gone through and had numerous updates to improve reliability, but these amps have not had any audio path mods, hacks, or “hot rods”, and remain true to the original Dynaco sound and character. The Quad caps are brand new, replaced with the upgraded versions from Dynakit, The coupling caps and bias caps were replaced. The old selenium rectifiers were updated with modern parts for better reliability. The rectifier circuits have had updates to extend the life of the rectifier tubes. The input jacks were replaced with new jacks and the old screw terminals were upgraded to binding posts. These amps have also been upgraded with bias balance controls. This update allows the bias to be setup properly for each tube and eliminates the need to have perfectly matched output tubes, allowing for greater flexibility if you want to experiment with different tubes. Amps come with: New 5AR4 Shuguang rectifier tubes (arguably the best new rectifier available today). 1 amp has a vintage National 6AN8 and the other a Dynaco branded 6AN8. The output tubes in both amps are vintage RCA 6550′s. They sound, and work, great. Cosmetics are very nice, I would say above average. There is some small pitting on the chrome chassis of both units, but overall the chrome still looks very good and has a nice shine. The cages look great. The cages are included, so is the original manual. I have the original “Black Cat” coupling caps I will include if you want them.
