Bought this to restore, but never got around to it. Put tubes in it last week, plugged it in, and tubes did not glow. Thats as far as I have gotten. Good and bad things about the amp. The output transformer housings are in pretty good shape. Minor nicks here and there to the black paint, but no major dents. Stickers look good too. Internal wiring looks pretty decent overall. The chrome chassis isnt in the best shape though. Chrome is pitting and rusting and almost all of the silk screening is gone. Missing a few screws for the bottom cover and the speaker terminal section. I will include the gold speaker adapters shown. Those are shown installed and will be included. Up for sale, a 1959 Fender Deluxe in exceptional condition and in perfect working order. A golden era narrow panel tweed amp with an incredibly detailed and dynamic range of tones, this amp is loaded with a full compliment of vintage tubes. At low volumes this Deluxe can deliver sparkling cleans that are round and powerful, with two distinctly voiced channels that overdrive beautifully. There’s plenty of rich roar and sizzle on tap when the amp is pushed to its max, and the single tone knob has ample range for sculpting the low end or adding treble zing. Especially when connecting the two channels with a small jumper 1/4 cable, the interactive pair of Volume controls can dial in everything from fully saturated snarl to particularly sweet, buzzy qualities with ideal midrange bite that you often times can’t coax out of any other Tweed circuit. This amp reacts well to a host of effects pedals and different guitars, but truly shines with the guitar plugged straight into the amp, using your volume knob to coax clean rhythm tones and singing leads with the twist of a knob. The circuit is virtually untouched, with original transformers, undisturbed solder joints, and CTS pots that date to the 6th week of 1959. Of course all of the famed yellow Astron capacitors are present in the preamp as well, giving the amp a certain sweetness that no modern cap can match. The power amp has been professionally recapped, and the new F&T capacitors are fitted in the original Minimite sleeves for a clean, original look. The tubes include a matched pair of Serviceman 6V6s with a General Electric 5Y3 rectifier and USA-made valves in the preamp too. The original gray two-prong power cable is also present. The stock Jensen P12R alnico 12 speaker is present and has a clean teal frame, stock bell cover and Jensen label. On the edge of the frame, the speaker has a 220847 date code for the 47th week of 1958. The tube chart is intact and extremely clean, with paper that is barely faded, crisp corners, and an “IC” code, dating the amp to March of 1959 (the latest date on the amp). The chrome on the chassis is particularly clean, with all of the original white lettering present on the faceplate, along with stock chicken head knobs. Even the original handle is included and unbroken with only a bit of fraying on the ends. The original tweed is intact and notably well kept, with only minor wear on the corners, and a bit of light staining and a stray cigarette burn or two on the top. The back panels are modern replacements, carefully aged to match the original tweed on the enclosure. This is a remarkably clean and stock 1959 Tweed Deluxe that will please discerning collectors and serious studio players alike! Up for sale, a 1955 Fender Deluxe in excellent condition and in perfect working order. Few circuits are more desired and emulated than the narrow panel Tweed 5E3, and this first-year narrow panel model delivers everything you’d expect from a classic and well cared for amp from the last iteration of the Tweed line. Incredibly dynamic and harmonically rich, the Deluxe can be glassy and clear at low volumes, but for most players the magic is in this amp’s overdrive capabilities. Especially when connecting the two channels with a small jumper 1/4 cable, the interactive pair of Volume controls can dial in everything from fully saturated roar and snarl, to the particular sweet buzzy qualities with ideal midrange bite that you often times can’t coax out of any other Tweed circuit. This amp reacts well to a host of effects pedals and different guitars, but truly shines with the guitar plugged straight into the amp, using your volume knob to coax clean rhythm tones and singing leads with the twist of a knob. The preamp is very original and only maintained as strictly necessary, balancing originality and functionality. The original Stackpole pots (dating to the 3rd week of’55) and carbon comp resistors are intact, as well as all of the original red dynamite Astron tone caps. The power amp has been professionally recapped as well, and the new caps have been sleeved in the original Mighty Midget wrappers for a seamless vintage look. The amp is loaded with a combination of newer and vintage valves, and all tubes have been tested and work optimally. The speaker is an era-correct Jensen P12Q alnico 12 speaker with a clean teal frame and Jensen sticker. This speaker dates to 1962, and features a new speaker harness with cloth covered wire and Switchcraft 1/4 jack. The other most pertinent date code is the “EJ” stamp on the very clean tube chart, which translates to October of’55. The serial number stamped on the chassis also matches the hand-serialized tube chart. The chrome on the chassis is quite clean, with minimal pitting and the original white silkscreen text present along with stock chicken head knobs. In similar condition, the original tweed covering and oxblood grillcloth show only light wear on the edges of the enclosure, with modest ambering of the lacquer on the tweed, and some requisite minor scuffs and corner wear. Both back panels are modern replacements courtesy of MojoTone, carefully aged to match the original tweed on the rest of the amp. This Deluxe is an example that will satisfy collectors and serious players alike, and the amp has recently been given a clean bill of health, ready for your next gig or studio session. Mint 2016 Vintage Sound 22 Combo. The pictures show a C12 N. It is set up with 2×10 speakers with a Weber 10f150 and a 10a125 for an 8 ohm load. This 2×10 baffle board and speakers came set up this way from VSA. Tube amp doctor tubes. The first channel has a bit of an edge to it. That’s the way Rick made it. This thing sounds phenomenal. The second channel has all the bells and whistles plus the mid control. Very nice looking amp. If your not familiar with Vintage Sound amps. Rick the owner has come up with a real good reproduction of the famous Deluxe Reverb. The amp has bias pots on the back. You bias 6v6′s to 18ma. You bias 6L6 to 25ma.
