This one is in absolutely stunning condition with minimal wear, no fading to tolex, grill cloth flat and no tears. No Silvertone logo and no evidence of one being there in the past. Has been serviced to include a grounded cord for safety. The 1344 amp began its life as the 1304 in 1949. It became the 1344 in the Fall/Winter catalog of 1950, at which time it had the Silvertone logo applied in the decorative silver band around the amp. The’vibrato’ listing in the catalog is labeled’tremolo’ on the amps. Some cabinet roulette occurred during this period; the innards are nearly identical to the1303, even though the 1303 looks just like a 1300. Introduced: Fall/Winter 1949 Retired: Spring/Summer 1954. This listing is for a really nice and clean Vintage 1940′s Gibson EH-125 Tube Guitar Amplifier. This Gibson Amp is very old and is from the 1940s. The amp works well and sounds really great. Not the loudest amp but the tone is really sweet. The amp is in very nice condition and comes as pictured with what I assume is the original canvas cover. The power cable has been changed to a three prong but otherwise the amp is original to the best of my knowledge. Very nice serviced vintage 1966 Twin Reverb. Has been gone through by Alessandro and is an awesome representation of what these amps can do. Clean for its age, show signs of wear on Tolex and cloth. I have owned this amp since the late 1970′s and it was my first guitar amp but I rarely used it. I think it was made in the 1950′s and it is a “Varsity” model. These originally came with matching lap steal guitars for students. It has all the same original parts and tubes that it came with and the same as when I got it. There is some wear and tear on the amp that you can see clearly in the photos. It displays really great and sounds wonderful. When you turn it on, it warms up then runs quiet and sounds fantastic! It has the original 6 speaker in it and the original tubes. Back in the 1980′s I replaced the electrical power cord with a nice flexible and safe one. It is the typical “mother of pearl” finish and this one is a gray and dark maroon color. These sound good and are very cool practice or recording amps! See the photos for the full story. It seems to sound about as loud as a Fender Champ amp? Either way, it is a rare amp and they are harder to find in this condition. All the tubes are included…. 1 12AX7 1 12AU7 (I substituted a 5814). The speaker case and grill cover are in really nice condition. The tolex has no rips or tears and only has very minor age related wear. The handles are also in great shape and work perfectly. The case unlatches and detaches from each other and work as they should and are in very good condition. The Amplifier features an On/Off Toggle Power Switch, a single 6BQ5, a 12ax7 and 12au7 tubes, A Volume and Tone control, a fuse holder, 1/4″ input plug for guitar and a 1/4″ speaker output plug that the speaker plugs into. All of the knobs work and turn freely as they should and the power light comes on. The fuse is still good too but the tubes do not light up and it does not produce any sound. So this amp is a great candidate for a rebuild and need some tubes or work to bring it back to its full potential. The chassis is in good cosmetic condition for its age (please see photos). It measures approximately 13 3/4″ x 9 1/4″ x 9 1/4 including the handle and weighs about 18 lbs. For parts or restoration. I bring tube amplifiers up to power slowly on a variac with a full load to avoid damage and properly reform the capacitors and although I test them to the best of my ability, I’m not an expert by any means! I may not be able to test all functions, some may have been repaired or worked on by others and some functions may or may not work as there may be damaged components that we are unable to determine that need additional repairs. Some items may just be plugged in and powered on without further testing so don’t assume the item works because it powers on. When purchasing 50+ year old items you should expect that some work may need done to bring them back up to their full potential… Our items decades ago. Vintage 1947 Silvertone 1301 Tube Combo Amp in very good condition and sounds incredible. One of the earliest tube amps available from Sears, this small 5 watt amp is similar to the early Fender Champs. Simple, one knob design, it has a great tube tone that has a great natural overdrive when cranked. Some cosmetic wear, but overall in remarkable condition for an amp that is over 70 years old!
