For sale is a pair of Mcintosh Mackit-30 amplifiers. These amplifiers were made for only a single year and are extremely rare. The chassis and parts are screwed together and not riveted, making restoration much easier. These units have not been turned on in over 30 years and worked the last time they were used. Serial numbers are close, but not consecutive. For their age, they are in excellent condition with normal scratching and light pitting along with a few light rust spots. Before these are used, they will need to be serviced. One amplifier has a chassis flaw that is slight, the but steel isn’t folded as cleanly as I’m used to from McIntosh. These will need to be serviced by a qualified tech before use. These are far too valuable to plug-in with the nearly 60 year old parts inside. Expect that you’ll need to replace the power tubes (and some of the others) as well. Please message me if you have any gear for sale but dont want to deal with listing! You do not need to live near me. I sell mostly vintage electronics. As such, these items are old and typically out of spec from when they were new. I do my best to test these items and make sure they work before theyre sent out, but I do not guarantee or represent that they will meet the original specifications. I may not even be able to test them, in which case assume that they dont work. However, there are times where I may miss something. Vintage 1950s Gibson GA-20 amplifier. Found this at a local estate. The cord is brittle. I shortened for a brief test. I found it to work but has a hum. Put in a new old stock 5y3 and matched 2 sylvania 6v6 power tubes. Pre tubes are good but lower end off the shelf guitar amp tubes. I pulled the speaker and the cone is great. I cleaned the bell and blew out the dusty inside. The instrument gain pot shaft is a little bent. Looks like one of the chicken head knobs was replaced by a black one at some point. You can also see a piece of wood fell off at some point. I wish this amp could tell its story.
