Up for sale here is this gorgeous vintage power supply. It looks like it could power a tube amplifier, but otherwise you could part it out and use the parts in a tube amplifier. This has an extremely nice homemade wood case, as well as the following parts. Simpson DC Volts Meter (0-500). Weston Model 506 DC Milliamperes Meter (0-300, made for US Signal Corps). 3 Toggle switches (1 front, 2 rear). 6 vintage heavy-duty binding posts (3 black, 3 red). Rear AC jack (no cord, sorry). Huge Sprague Atom capacitor. Thordarson Choke (I think it’s marked C330). UTC H-83 power transformer (looks incredible, rated at 115VAC primary, 6.3V 5A secondary, 5V 2A secondary, and either 670v 130mA or 600v 140ma secondary). A few misc resistors and other parts. Hand-drawn schematic on inside. This is an incredible piece of gear, and I really don’t want to part it out, so I thought I’d put it up as a whole before I cut it up. This is untested and I would probably replace the caps or at least bring them up on a Variac for safety. I will guarantee the power transformer to be good. Please see my pictures for details.
