Vintage Tube Amp

Vintage McIntosh Mc240 Stereo Amplifier. This 240 Amp is recently restored by professional including a full set of old stock US made tubes. All capacitors have been replaced with those of equal or higher specifications. Electrolytics are Panasonic brand caps. RCA jacks were replaced with gold plated teflon units. There is a known issue with this AMP : one channel seems to be louder than another. I think it may need to further tested and fixed. Other than that, this AMP is in working condition. My price is reflecting this issue. A good bit of “patina” and signs of age as shown in the pictures. The MC-240 has a unique design that makes it much easier to live with than many other tube amps, old and new. Due to a special transformer design, no bias setting is necessary. It is also not a requirement to used matched pairs or quads. A perfect choice for someone new to tube amps, or a veteran that is sick of tweaky unreliable tube power. However, please know that this is a vintage item. It is not a brand new machine. All sales are final.
