This is the Masco 17N tube amplifier made famous by Little Walter. See photo of him playing through a 17N, although Little Walter played through many different models of Masco PA amps. It was restored to the original specifications. A schematic will be included. A few small changes were made to the circuit. Two audio coupling capacitors off the input jack were increased in value from. 01uf to allow for more bass frequencies. Output jacks were converted to 1/4 inch jacks and a line out was installed. A new power resistor that is period correct was installed in place of the old string resistor. New capacitors were installed in place of the old ones using the same specifications. I used good quality components like paper in oil glass sealed Russian military coupling capacitors, mojotone caps, sprague atoms and orange drops. The amplifier works and I have used it for both practice and gigs. They aren’t making these amps anymore. I enjoyed it while I had it and it is a very cool amp and a collectible.
