Up for sale, a 1967 Fender Deluxe in exceptional condition and in perfect working order. Featuring the famed AB763 circuit, this amp has an incredible amount of headroom and power, something that instantly sets it apart from its reverb-equipped brother. Since the addition of the reverb effect into the Fender circuit essentially adds another gain stage, the non-reverb Deluxe really stands out as Fender’s premier 1×12 Blackface combo amp, with incredible warmth, EQ balance, and clarity. Perfect as a platform for pedals and an ideal amp for studio use, this Deluxe captures the quintessential Fender clean sound, with smooth tube overdrive and a hint of compression at higher volumes. The tremolo has a strong, even pulse as well, with a wide range of speeds. The circuit is extremely original, and the stock Schumacher-made transformers date to Fall of’66. The power supply has been professionally recapped along with a new bias capacitor and three-prong power cable to keep everything operating within original factory specifications. The circuit is otherwise untouched, with all of the original blue molded Ajax tone caps intact in the preamp. These caps are essential to the rich, musical quality of the Blackface-era circuits. The CTS pots are all stock as well with visible date codes from the 18th week of’66. The power tubes are a pair of Russian-made and Groove Tubes-branded 6V6s, along with a vintage Mullard GZ34 rectifier. The preamp tubes are all newer valves from the likes of Groove Tubes and JJ. The speaker is a vintage Utah 12 with a very clean black frame and original blue foil Fender label on the magnet. The original tube chart is intact and particularly clean, with a “QA” date code that translates to January of 1967. Cosmetically, this is an extremely clean and well cared for amplifier, with original smooth black tolex and silver sparkle grillcloth. As the photos show, the tolex is extremely tidy and the faceplate is quite clean as well, with a set of minty witch hat knobs. This Deluxe would look great in a studio and is an example that will satisfy players and collectors alike. This is a working Magnatone 213 Troubador guitar amp. It’s about 60 years old. The internal electronics are all original. Only 3 modifications were made as far as I can tell to this amp. A modern grounded 3-prong power cord has been installed. The tolex has been recovered. The speaker is non-original. Other than that it is stock original. The transformers are all original and the filter capacitor can is original. It seems to function fine so it wasn’t replaced. I uploaded a demo of this exact amp that is for sale onto Youtube, so you can get an idea of the sound. I start off with the amp having the vibrato off and then I turn on the vibrato. I demoed the vibrato with the speed and intensity knobs at 12:00 position. This is a telecaster with Fralin Blues Special pickups. No pedals or other effects are used. It’s just guitar straight into the amp with the volume knob at about 10 o’clock. This amp uses simple to obtain tubes like 6V6, 12AX7 and 12AU7 and a 5Y3 rectifier unlike some Magnatone amps. VINTAGE 1960s GUITAR TUBE AMP AMPLIFIER REALISTIC PA-45 VGC MID CENTURY 6L6 DUO, also known as the Fanon Masco FMA35. I believe this one has a Solid State rectifier and will be a little louder and tighter on teh bottom end. Sounds great with excellent tone and power with great tone and gain control. Two 6L6 POWER TUBES. Can power 16, 8 and 4 ohm speaker loads and has outputs for 70 and one other type 25V? Speaker installations, such as the kind used in schools or churches. It’s a real work horse and has some great clean tone, and smooth overdrive characteristics with the same power tubes of the classic fender amps, but actually driving them hard with some real power! It makes my old bassman sound a bit cold! If I don’t sell it, I’ll likely start using it for my guitar rig! It’s the kind of oddball rig that I can really make sing and definitely is one that no one else is using! And that’s a shame, because it’s really a cool amp! It has microphone and phono inputs, which are very sensitive and can get you some GODLY and crunchy overdrive as well as cleaner inputs for getting the most clean out of the amp. It’s more versatile, tonally, than a lot of the guitar amps of the era. A lot of musicians back in the day would use these PA amps for their guitars and plug into the mic inputs… Hendrix and Leslie West to name two HUGE ones, both using the classic Sun Colluseum PA head… It’s made from pretty heavy pressed bent steel plate, and really would have put you years ahead of the competition back in the 60′s if you used this on guitar! 35 real tube watts isn’t a joke and with some good speakers, you will probably get enough drive to fall in love! Easy to mod and can be used for anything you want that tube mojo on with some punch, such as vintage electric pianos, upright bass, harmonica (harp) and of course all manner of guitar. Will do a loud crunchy overdrive, or a sparkly clean but still gainy hi-fi clean tone for acoustic. Get it before I talk myself into keeping it! So no harm in trying! Up for sale, a 1940′s Vega Commander 1×10 tube amp, honestly worn and freshly serviced. A very unique amp with more in common visually with a console radio of the era than most conventional guitar amps, this Vega features a natural-finished birdseye maple face with brown leatherette back and sides. With two channels that have a similar gain structure, the amp stays clean and warm from 1-4 on the dial, with more grit and bite from 5-8, and a sizzling, tight roar when you dime it out. This amp can deliver some serious bark while keeping things focused and round in the bass register. Never too ratty and quite refined, with a glassy top end response, this Vega is a real vintage gem powered by a single 6L6 power tube. The circuit features the original transformers, with many of the original tone caps intact in the preamp and new caps as necessary to keep everything working as intended. All of the tubes are vintage valves from the likes of RCA, Ken-Rad, and Sylvania. The original Jensen 10 alnico speaker is intact, functioning as intended. The cable is a vintage two-prong. The faceplate is quite clean with the trio of original deep brown chicken head knobs, and the birdseye maple face shows its fair share of darkening and surface wear. A brand-new leather handle has been installed, and the brown leatherette shows some expected minor tears and edge wear from the past 70+ years. Both back panels are present too.
