Vintage Tube Amp

Heres a demo of what this amp sounds like. Made in Torrance, California, by Magnatone/Estey Electronics in very late62, this is an Ariatone 810 amp with a single original Oxford 8 speaker, dating to the 46. The Chicago Telephone Supply (CTS) volume pot is from the 51. My guess is the model name/number refers to an 8 speaker and perhaps 10 watts? This amp requires two 50C5, one 12AX7 and one 12AV6. This is a VERY simple amp offering an adequate clean sound, and an absolutely killer tube crunch that would be welcome in any studio. With the classic Maggie pitch shift vibrato, this would also make a great amp for all you slobbering harp players out there. Youll probably want to upgrade to a grounded plug. Im not certain whats on there is original. Though Ive no reason to believe it isnt, its a rather bulky plug for the time. Contact me beforehand to work out any other arrangements.
