Vintage Tube Amp

What a wonderful sounding amplifier/receiver! Generally, I have used it as an integrated amplifier, fed via a hifi DAC. I have also used the onboard FM tuner, which sounds wonderful.

Fisher KX-100 Vintage Tube Amplifier. Due to age serviced required for everyday used. As you can see in pictures the light jewel is green color it was found in that condition. Please look at all pictures for cosmetic condition.

1960′s Fisher 500-B Stereo Tube Receiver in excellent working condition. Plays loud and clean on both channels with great fidelity. Great matching construction set of vintage 7591 tubes, 3 test very good to NOS range, 1 a bit lower, but biasing up fine. Just serviced by my technician. Cleaned all controls & switches. Aligned FM Tuner and MPX Front End. Reduced dial cord tension, lubed tuning. Adjusted Output Bias Voltage. Fair Faceplate and Cosmetics. Has some wear a shown. See all pictures for further description. Very good shape for age but has minor scratches, marks, imperfections etc. Not for total neophytes. Vintage gear requires some knowledge. The Fisher Model 500 Receiver Mono Tube Amp Works 1950′s Vintage. Lettering has faded but considering its age its in great shape. See pics for best description of condition. One knob (far right) has been replaced with a non oem one. The unit was tested and works. The only thing I noticed when testing was there is slight static when turning volume knob at a low Db the static does go away once the knob isnt turning even at low decibel. There is no static at all once volume is at Id say 20% or higher. Most likely the volume pot needs do dioxit or it can be left alone. Any questions please feel free to ask me. Vintage Fisher 500-C tube FM Stereo receiver in excellent overall condition. Works well with no hum. Very clean chassis and faceplate as it was removed from a custom console; and was acquired from the original owner. Comes with original Service Manual. Inspection tag still on the cord. All brass knob caps are intact. Faceplate printing is great though there are a couple of nicks and scratches on the faceplate. Chassis printing show some wear and tape residue. Power switch works fine. Ive been running it for several days with no issues. All tone, volume & balance controls work fine. FM Stereo Beacon works on Auto; received several stations. Signal strength meter works. Dial illumination works on both sides. Phono and Aux work fine too. Audio is equal on both sides. It has been serviced sometime in its history as I see the black tube is wrapped in tape. I have no idea when the work was done but estimate years since its been last serviced, so plan on having it checked out by a qualified tech for daily use as this unit is well over 50 years old. So, while fully working, it may not be perfect, so consider this a repair or restoration project. I will have a video demonstration video available as proof of function.
