Vintage Tube Amp

Up for your consideration is this very nice Vintage Bogen Mono Tube power Amplifier model M-330A that worked 40+ years ago. I believe this is a 30 to 35 watts amp. It is in very nice cosmetic condition with some scratches & scuffs from age & use. It has an assortment of connections on the backside like 3 microphone inputs, 2 phono Mag cartridge inputs, 2 aux inputs. Controls for mic 1, 2, 3, aux 1 & 2, master volume, bass and treble. I believe this is a 5 tube unit 2-7868, 1-7247 and 2-6EU7. It is all is original or at least when I bought it 40+ years ago. This Bogen has been in the family for over 40yrs & worked fine back in the day. It was passed to a to a different family member years ago & had been forgotten about until recently. Up for sale here is this nice vintage Heathkit A-7 mono tube amplifier. This is in really good shape, with light wear. I recapped this, taking the can cap out of the circuit and replacing it with individual electrolytic capacitors underneath the chassis, as well as replacing all the other capacitors except the ceramic disk caps, which are fine. This has some nice vintage US tubes in it, specifically: two RCA 12A6 output tubes (1942). I did not swap any of them out. There are several varieties of the Heathkit A-7. This is the one that uses 12A6 tubes. You cannot swap in 12V6 tubes without altering the circuit. Also, some of the A-7 amps have an extra tube on the right side, but this does not–there is no socket, just a hole there. The original can capacitor is out of the circuit, but has been left here for looks. Its phenolic mount is cracked underneath, but this won’t affect anything. The two knobs on the ends stick out further than the one in the middle, which is just how this is made. This is tested and plays well and sounds good. This is a neat little amp, and you can enjoy this as a mono amp, find another for a stereo pair, or rebuild this for guitar amp use. This is in good working order and needs nothing. Up for sale here is this vintage Roberts Model 1055 portable reel-to-reel with two speakers and built-in tube amplifier. This is a really nice portable. It is in great condition with light to moderate overall wear. This does not have a power cord, unfortunately. It will probably need the usual restoration–clean, lube, new belts, etc. This has a very nice little tube amp built-in, with two Amperex Bugle Boy 6BM8 output tubes, a pair of Telefunken 12AT7s, and an RCA 6CA4 rectifier. Up for sale here is this gorgeous vintage Sears Silvertone 1483 tube amplifier. This is in great condition, with light to moderate wear overall and very light rust/corrosion on the face. It’s not mint, but is definitely in good shape. The cabinet is nice and solid. This has the original Silvertone-badged RCA 6L6GC output tubes, dated 1967, and has the original Silvertone 6CG7 and 5Y3GT tubes. The 12AX7s are vintage US-made, I think GE. Both tube shields are there. This is missing the rear ID badge that would normally be riveted in on the right side. This only has two bolts holding it in from the bottom, and no bolts from the back–I’m not sure why those are gone. The electronics appear to be 100% original–all the caps look like they are untouched. The 6L6GCs are dated 1967, so this amp is from around that year. All the original knobs are there. This has four 1/4″ input jacks on the front and two 1/4″ output jacks on the back. I do not know if this normally has one or two rear output jacks. It has a nice long power cord, and has another cable sticking out of the back. That second cable is shorter, maybe a foot long, and has what appears to be an odd-looking AC plug on the end, but I’m pretty sure it’s an output cable and is not an AC cord. I brought this up on a Variac, and it does play fine and sounds good. I didn’t hear much background noise, just a tiny bit of it in the background. I did clean the 12AX7 sockets and potentiometers with Deoxit, but otherwise I have not updated this or anything. This is tested and working, but because this is a vintage tube amplifier, I would strongly recommend that you recap/restore this before regular use. This is just an amp–there is no speaker cabinet included. Please see all 12 of my pictures for details. If you have any questions, please ask. Nice Vintage Fisher KX 200 Tube Amp- Serviced. Power supply rebuilt along with replacing necessary caps. The face-plate has some imperfections as seen in pictures. 10 ohm resister installed on power tube to act like a fuse if a tube shorts out protecting the transformers. Bias resister change from 330 ohm to 150 ohm. This keeps power tubes from running hot. Slow start current limiter installed , nice new walnut case far superior than original. Copy of original style cabinet. All sections operate as they should. New tung-sol power tubes installed with all 12ax7 tubes made by telefunken which where checked for strength leaks and shorts. This is a very nice sounding amp. You also get a copy of the operational manual. Also i forgot to mention that this kx-200 features two aux inputs which the other fisher amps do not.
