Vintage Organ Tube Amplifier. To use the gearhead expression “ran when parked”, it did work before I put it storage. As you can see, storage has not been kind to it. This unit has 1x 5U4GB Rectifier, 4x 6BQ5 / EL84 power tubes and 4x 12AX7 tubes. This amplifier is a prime candidate for a sweet little conversion project! This Listing is for a Vintage Heathkit SP-2 Stereo Preamp Pre-Amplifier 12AX7 Tubes. This is in pretty good condition. Tested and it plays well. Some of the pots are just a bit scratchy, could use a good cleaning. It is missing the feet and one of the screws is bent a little. This particular set tests strong and are closely balanced / matched. The print on these tubes is fragile and will easily rub off, some has already rubbed off, special care was taken not to rub off any more while testing. Vintage US made El84 single ended stereo integrated amplifier for DIY restoration project or for parts. I was thinking of using the chassis for a DIY pre amplifier or DIY phono stage project. However, This vintage amplifier looked too good to kill just for chassis. So it is better to save it as a stereo tube amplifier. We have powered on the unit with a variac, but within a minute of testing a capacitor and/or resistor popped and smoked. This unit will require servicing before being used. I’ve had this one so long I don’t even remember where it came from. I do remember getting it with no tubes. It does power up. You can hear the power transformer hum a bit when turned on. Cosmetically it looks good. However it does have some damage to the covers. NO TUBES ARE INCLUDED. It has some weight to it. Pair of Vintage Monoblock Tube Amplifiers, Great Sound, EL34, ca. Excellent pair of early monoblock tube/valve amps that feature EL34 and 12AX7 tubes. There is no make or model on these amps. The amps are in working order and sound excellent; volume pots VG, with no drop outs or scratchiness. No hum when in use and volume is turned down. They are well-built and the original owner used high quality Mullard & Amperex tubes (sorry not included). They are substantial in weight, about 25lbs each. Tubes are not included. Up for sale here is this neat vintage tube amplifier. This came from an RCA MI-15910 tube reel-to-reel player from 1953. The power transformer is included, but was previously mounted separately, and it attaches to the amp with an octal plug. This has two potentiometers, a neon light, two 1/4 jacks, and a socket in the side for an AC cord (not included). It normally uses a 6X4 rectifier, a 12AX7, a 6AQ5 output tube, and a 5879 tube, but only the 5879 tube is included. That one has a metal cover over it, and I’m not sure if the cover is original. This is a neat little tube amp and you could build an amazing guitar amp with it. This is in good physical condition with light to moderate overall wear. It measures about 12.75″ long, 4″ deep, and 2.25 tall. The last picture shows the tube layout, but the paper tube layout is not included, sorry. It will be an amazing guitar amp once it’s done.
