Vintage Tube Amp

7199 tested very close to new. Selenium diode has been replaced with a new production 600V volt rated bridge diode (Digikey). This amplifier uses the 7199 tubes and can use 7189 or EL84 6BQ5 output tubes.

No chips or cracks in AC inlet socket (non-polarized) 99. All controls, sockets, and switches have been cleaned with Deoxit 99. 14 capacitors replaced (and other work done by Vacuum Tube Valley Charlie Kittleson in 1998) 99. Quality of sound 98. “C” in model number stands for center channel output. Professionally tested in our service department. All slide switches are perfect (no chips) 98. This is an estate sale find. Tested everything is working. All tubes light up. Crisp Clean sound no static. Volume knob doesnt turn the unit off, it does control the sound functionality but doesnt turn the unit on and off. Thats the only problem I found with this unit. Bought this from original owner about 15 years ago. I have used it since then for different lengths of time. It was never completely off for more than 60 days. I last used it for about 8 months with klipsch lascala speakers an a Rega turntable. Sounds fantastic as it should. In very good condition. I have been gradually thinning my vintage audio collection.
