Vintage 1958 Altec Mono Tube Integrated Amplifier Model 344A S/N 161–TESTED. Has been fully tested! Replaced EL84/6BQ5, EZ81/6CA4 tubes. Repaired broken wire on CKT board. Cleaned and deoxidized controls/ switches. We do our very best to discover and disclose any damage and/orimperfections. Are shown up close in the photos. We may miss something. Vintage Matched Pair of Altec Lansing integrated tube mono amplifier model 344A (output 20 Watts) with Wooden Cabinets. Both Amplifiers Recently Serviced in Excellent Working condition and Great Sound. Cabinets are in Good Condition with Scratches or Scuffs. For sale is an Altec 344a in excellent condition. This unit has no obvious issues, but unfortunately it could not be tested due to a deteriorated power cord. This cord will need to be replaced and the unit should be serviced. The brass colored components due have some oxidation as does the chassis, but no serious rust. Cabinet has scratches and nicks. Please message me if you have any gear for sale but dont want to deal with listing! You do not need to live near me. I sell mostly vintage electronics. As such, these items are old and typically out of spec from when they were new. I do my best to test these items and make sure they work before theyre sent out, but I do not guarantee or represent that they will meet the original specifications. I may not even be able to test them, in which case assume that they dont work. However, there are times where I may miss something. If that happens, I hope that you would agree that the most efficient way to take care of an issue is if you simply message me before opening a case or doing anything else. I need an outlet for these items online, so I have no reason to send you something that doesnt work unless Ive noted that it doesnt. I pack items correctly. This mono tube amp would be a great project for anyone who knows how to work on tube amps or wants something to learn on. Great if you have one already and need another for stereo! Altec Lansing is known in the studio and in the hi-fi world for their quality craftsmanship and stellar audio equipment. Serial number looks like 2404 but it’s hard to read on the chassis. The unit powers up and the visible tubes begin to glow except for the 6CG7. I haven’t tested it any further. Please see photos for the specific physical condition of the unit. All of the lights on the front panel light up when switching to their respective source. I wish I could fix it up myself but I don’t have the wherewithal.
