Vintage Magnavox 6BQ5 Stereo Amplifier in custom made wood cabinet. I was able to play a music signal through the two speaker outputs marked with blue tape on back of unit. I did hear a spontaneous noise sometimes through speakers so the amp will need some servicing. Had this integrated amp around for many years now, from a friend who pulled it from an old console. Time now to share it with someone who wants to, and has time to, give it some TLC. I’m just not able to get to all the items around here I’ve accumulated over the 1990′s and 2000′s. Great tube types – Sylvania black plate 6BQ5s and RCA 12AX7, all included, and the rectifier, all original! Nice cosmetics too, clean chassis, no dings/dents, not dropped. Was curious though and powered it up to 30Vac and watched the B+ climb and stay stable at the power filter cap and at the output transformers and output tubes. Looks good to go for an upgrade to more modern or a partial/complete rebuild. Would make a nice office/den/bedroom amp at about 6 old school watts max per ch. May not have enough power for your main system, but really depends on your speakers and expectations. This listing includes a beautiful vintage H. Scott 222C Stereomaster vacuum tube integrated laboratory amplifier in clean and electrically restored condition. This amplifier was restored approximately 6-months ago by the original owner. Some of the work that was done to this amplifier includes: testing all tubes and replacing any weak tubes, cleaned all controls and switches with DeOxit, replaced bad / out of spec capacitors, replaced any out of spec resistors, all solder joints have been inspected and any loose connections were re-soldered. After the restoration was complete, this amplifier was bench tested and it is in great working / sounding condition. As the photos show, this vintage amplifier is exceptionally clean inside and out and was well cared for and maintained over the years. The entire face still looks fantastic with clear lettering and all four corners are still sharp. All of the knobs are clean and in great shape. The original power cord is in good shape and is not brittle. All of the transformers and the chassis (inside and out) show only minimal wear and no corrosion. A Vintage, rare 1960 Heathkit AA-30 stereo tube amp with 4 6BQ5 , 1 GZ34 and 2 ea. This amp works but there is some distortion at higher volumes mostly with bass frequencies and the right channel is a little lower than the left. There are some new caps in it and it sounds OK, just hard hitting bass sounds distorted. This is a small amp , only about 15 watts per channel. Comes with cage, Comes with all tubes. Only minor imperfections on the metal chassis, very nice physical condition. You can use this amp the day you receive it and repair ir and make it better later. After the restoration was complete, this amplifier was bench tested and it is in great working / sounding condition. As the photos show, this vintage amplifier is exceptionally clean and was well cared for and maintained over the years. The entire face still looks very good but it does have a couple minor cosmetic blemishes (shown in the photos). As mentioned previously, a new power switch was installed on the side of this amp and, the two knobs on the left and right side (4 total) are not original to this unit. The original power cord is in great shape and is not brittle. All of the transformers and the chassis (inside and out) show only minimal wear and no corrosion.
