Vintage Tube Amp

Vintage US made El84 single ended stereo integrated amplifier for DIY restoration project or for parts. I was thinking of using the chassis for a DIY pre amplifier or DIY phono stage project. However, This vintage amplifier looked too good to kill just for chassis. So it is better to save it as a stereo tube amplifier. The transformers are excellent, worth more than the price asked for the whole thing. Bought from someone taken out from working console ten years ago. It is time for the next new owner. Vintage RCA 6BQ5/EL84 Push Pull Stereo Amplifier from console. Transformer was replaced and partially recapped by previous owner. I plugged it in, jumpered power and the tubes light up. This is the Vintage Conn Complete Stereo tube amplifier. What you need to do is just Plug & Play then enjoy it! The out put tubes uses 2 x EL84/6BQ5 tubes for stereo. Preamp uses 1 x 12AX7 tube while the rectify is 6X4 tube As you can see, it is very nice tube amplifier. There are 4 knobs for 2 channels. The first pair of 2 knobs are the volume and the tone for (L) channel while the other pair are the volume and the tone adjustments for (R) channel! There is built-in ON/OFF switch inside knob. This is stand-alone stereo tube amplifier. Please note that this tube amp is about 40/50 year old so nothing is guaranteed! It may be changed/modified for recap, resistors, tubes, wires, etc…. Inputs and outputs terminals are added for convenience. One fuse (1 A) was also added for safety. The handle bar(s) were added on both side too. Please see the photos. You see what you get! Perfect working tube stereo. 5 Watts per channel. Gets pretty loud imo. The solid state rectifier gives your more clean headroom. Small size thats convenient for any office or bedroom. Cherry wood sides and rubber feet are an added bonus. Bottom is exposed to round out that industrial look. Could use a Magnavox logo, but keep in mind this is pulled from an old console and updated. Use with a computer or hook up to a preamp for phono, etc. Including a custom rca/volume knob cable. Will be packed securely.
