The fine item you are considering is a Vintage Alamo 2×10 Combo Tube Guitar Amplifier Amp. This cool vintage Alamo tube amp sports a pair of 6V6s for power tubes, and two original 10 speakers. The amp is basically working but it has some issues, these being that while the normal channel works perfectly and sounds fantastic at higher volumes (great break up and very spanky) the Vibrato channel looks to have what I think is a bad pot, which is very crackly (loud crackles when turned) and isnt allowing the volume to be as loud as it should be. Also, it doesnt appear that the vibrato effect is functioning. One of the paper cones on one speaker is torn, but I cant hear it effecting the sound, and otherwise the amp shows typical wear from age and use, but makes a great vintage appearance. This is a vintage Alamo Embassy tube guitar amp and it looks to be from the 60s. The tubes light up with the exception on the smallest one on the right side, and you can hear the normal type static out of the speaker when you turn the volume control up and the volume control probably just needs some cleaning or just some use to clear the static up. The cabinet cloth material is nice and clean and tight and it does have a small spot of wear on the bottom left front corner and a spot of wear on the underneath bottom area. The front control area is clean as well and has some specks in the finish, and the bottom speaker grill has no tears or stains and is also clean. I show a number of photos. 1963 Alamo Embassy all original full tube amp and in great shape. Only a few capacitors appropriately replaced to ensure proper function as well as a 3 prong cord added for safety. Speaker is an original Jensen. Tube rectifier 5Y3GT as well as 6V6, 12AX7 and a 6AV6 for the tremolo. Some tolex peal and separation in places but nothing major. On the metal faceplate, the lettering is clear with some scuffs here and there. See all pics for condition detail. Has a 1/4 connection for a foot pedal but none included in this case but those are not hard to find if you need foot control of the tremolo. The tremolo can still be managed through the knobs without any switch required. The amp sounds great and breaks up nicely at higher volumes. Please let me know if you have any questions. This is a VINTAGE 1960′s Alamo guitar amplifier. Made in San Antonio, Texas, USA. I see quite a few of the C. Apri models, but this year Fiesta model with the controls on the back are nearly impossible to find. It is 100% complete and functions properly. I have cleaned the controls and inputs, no scratchy pots. It was recently service, with new capacitors to eliminate the 60 cycle hum. All the controls work. This is a low wattage TONE MONSTER! Controls are volume, tone, tremolo speed and intensity. I added a tone knob and a handle, but they look like they belong on the amp. I doubt you could tell them from the missing original items. Old electronics are scratched, worn, chipped, cracked, dirty, dusty, stained, ugly, tinkered with, missing parts, etc. The exteriors have wear that includes cuts, holes, tears, scuffs, missing stitching, missing or replaced feet and knobs. In the course of servicing over the years, they typically do not have all original components. Old electronics typically hum and have scratchy controls. As a basic test I have operated this amp for at least 4 hour recently and it did not fail, smoke, blow fuses, etc. Old electronic can fail at any time. That is a bargain. This item is heavy and will require extra time and care to package. Please take a look at the last picture and my other listings. I have a great collection of amps for sale now.
