Rare 1940s Silvertone Sears Roebuck & Company 1300 Guitar Tube Amplifier Working. This item has some cosmetic flaws as you can see in the photos. The potentiometers may need to be cleaned out a little better to get rid of the static and pops in the sound. The tubes all do light up and seem to be pretty strong?? This lot belonged to my great grandfather and hasn’t been used since the 60′s or 70′s and has sat around in a climate controlled environment all these years. Just thought it was time to offer it to someone who will appreciate it and get some use out of it. Includes all pictured with gauges, interconnects, radio tuner, etc….. Comes with all tubes except 2A3 Tubes. Does not come with 2A3 Tubes… VINTAGE UNITED ELECTRONICS 15 WATT 2A3 PP TUBE AMPLIFIER BUILT BY UNITED ELECTRONICS TUBE COMPANY NEWARK N. Comes with original Prints and a copy of the original prints with extra notes. The old prints are pretty delicate, I will send them, But I had them copied so no information was lost. This is a Beautifully constructed 2A3 PP mono amplfier. I don’t know whether it’s Prototype, In house amp for testing tubes they built, Or just an amp that they had their engineers build for in house use. But the amplifier is built to the nine’s and is still passing signal. I brought this up to 78VAC and it is passing signal at this point. But I see some very old capacitors that will most certainly need replaced. So this is not a Running amp at this point and will certainly need some work. This amplifier is steeped in American History. It came out of one of our original tube manufactures Factory. You just don’t see stuff like this anymore, Let alone get the Prints with it.. This not an amplifier for an Amateur.
