Vintage Tube Amp

Hand-built by my neighbor, as a student in 1967 for his high school project. Red power indicator lights up and vacuum tubes glow but not tested with other components connected. Was told it has a 30 watt output.

Seeburg Model HFMA2 High F. Idelity Master tube type mono jukebox amplifier. The history of this amp is unknown by me as it was my late fathers. Was a service tech for jukeboxes arcade games and vending machines. Throughout the past year I have slowly been going through everything he acquired throughout many years and yet to have anyone with buyers regret. Vintage 1950s AMPEX type 6450 DUAL HIGH VOLTAGE SUPPLY Ampex Tube Preamplifiers, removed from old obsolete rack cabinets during interior demolition work of Movies Screening Room in former 1950′s TV Station building on Manhattan’s West Side. Super heavy: 28 Lbs. Condition: used, transformers seems are working. It has Not Been Tested with radio tubes (we don’t have original tubes), quite old, tons of dirt. Removed from some sort of amplification farm cabinets. Original screws and vacuum bulbs had been missing during demolition. Pilot light is not working. No original tubes Included!! VINTAGE BELL HIGH FIDELITY MODEL 2300 TUBE AMPLIPHIER. This is a pretty clean looking amp. The power light illuminated and I could see tubes lit up in the amp. (see photos) I hooked up a source and a speaker and it played. I thought it was muted and terrible sounding but it played. It probably needs new tubes and probably other tuning. The amp has a very heavy steel case. Amp is from the late 50′s. This amp is over 70 years old so there are no guarantees it will continue to work due to age and tubes or wiring being fragile. This Amp is Model Dual 51 and it is a Tube Amp. We acquired this beauty from a friend of ours Estate Sale who had some very nice stuff. We took it to a professional and had it tested out and there was one tube that needed to be replaced, so it was replaced. It is in WORKING order and works just PERFECT. There is minimal wear on this amp, just a couple light scuffs, but very minimal. It looks as though this item was hardly used… Overall it is in EXCELLENT condition! I’m not sure how this will be boxed yet, but I will talk to the professional again and find out what he suggests.
