Up for sale, a 1966 Fender Bandmaster in mint condition and in good working order. A “best of both worlds” amp for a player that seeks a like-new appearance, optimal reliability, and a lush, all-tube sound with vintage circuitry, this Bandmaster is a stunning example. Professionally retolexed and regrilled with vintage-correct materials and patterns, this Bandmaster is loaded with a modern pair of Jensen C12N speakers, while the circuit is 100% original. This 40 watt Black Panel Fender powerhouse has the powerful, balanced cleans and smooth tube overdrive at high volumes that you expect from a vintage Fender from this era. The cleans are warm and articulate, with Fender’s sparkly top end and the ability to dial in just the right amount of grit and light tube compression. The preamp retains all of the famed blue molded Ajax tone caps, essential to the sweet, musical sound of the Black Panel circuits, and the original Schumacher-made transformers all date to 1965. The Stackpole pots have late’65 date codes, and the tube chart rounds out the applicable dates with a “PB” stamp that translates to February of 1966. Even the original power supply caps are intact and still viable. The tube complement includes a brand new pair of properly biased 6L6 power tube pair, with a host of mostly vintage valves in the preamp from the likes of RCA and Sylvania. The cabinet is stocked with a modern pair of Jensen C12N 12 speakers with immaculate deep green frames and original cones. The cabinet has also been fitted with new sound dampening foam sheets. The head and speaker cabinet have been professionally retolexed with correct smooth black tolex, cut in vintage-correct patterns, along with new silver sparkle grillcloth on both enclosures. Both the head and cabinet retain their original raised “Fender” logos, and the gleaming hardware includes new nickel corners, handle caps, sphinx glides (feet), chassis straps, and chrome tilt-back legs. You simply won’t find a better vintage Blackface Fender at this price point, and the Bandmaster truly delivers on the promise of the AB763 circuit, with incredible cleans, smooth overdrive and strong tremolo! 1954 Fender Tweed Deluxe 5D3 Wide Panel Vintage Tube Amp 1x12 with Jensen P12R

Up for sale, a 1954 Fender Deluxe in exceptional condition and in perfect working order. The precursor to the narrow panel 5E3 circuit, this 5D3 “wide panel” Deluxe is an exceedingly well-kept and very original example, complete with the original Triad transformers, Jensen P12R speaker, and a vintage tube complement. Incredibly dynamic and harmonically rich, the Deluxe can be glassy and clear at low volumes, but for most players the magic is in this amp’s overdrive capabilities. Especially when connecting the two channels on the three input circuit with a small jumper 1/4 cable, the interactive pair of Volume controls can dial in everything from fully saturated roar and snarl, to the particular sweet buzzy qualities with ideal midrange bite. This amp reacts well to a host of effects pedals, but truly shines with the guitar plugged straight into the amp, using your volume knob to coax clean rhythm tones and singing leads with the twist of a knob. The circuit retains the original Triad transformer pair, and the chassis is remarkably clean. The preamp features original red Astron “dynamite” capacitors, Stackpole pots (with visible date codes from the 43rd week of’54), and carbon comp resistors, with modern premium USA-made filter caps and smaller electrolytics to ensure optimal performance and reliability, sleeved in the original Astron Minimite wrappers for a seamless vintage look. The amp is loaded with a complete set of vintage tubes including a matched pair of Sylvania 6V6s, a GE 5Y3 rectifier, and Tung Sol and Sylvania valves in the preamp The speaker is the original Jensen P12R alnico 12 driver with an extremely clean dark green frame. This speaker dates to the 46th week of’54, and retains the original speaker harness with cloth covered wire and stock 1/4 input as well. The other most pertinent date code is the “DL” stamp on the very clean tube chart, which translates to December of’54. The chrome on the chassis is positively gleaming, shining like few Tweeds still do with all of the original white silkscreened text present along with stock chicken head knobs. In similar condition, the original tweed shows limited ambering, with some minor requisite scuffing on the edges of the cabinet and on the corners. Both back panels are original as well, as is the oxblood grillcloth and even the original leather handle. This Deluxe is an example that will satisfy collectors and serious players alike, and the amp has recently been given a clean bill of health, ready for your next gig or studio session. Check out our shop “Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar, ” and please let us know if we can answer any questions! 1958 Fender Deluxe Tweed Narrow Panel Vintage Tube Amp 5E3 Circuit, Jensen P12R

Up for sale, a 1958 Fender Deluxe with stunningly clean tweed in perfect working order, boasting the original Jensen P12R speaker and loaded with a vintage tube set. This Tweed has been incredibly well cared for, with a practically perfect chrome faceplate and expertly maintained circuit, retaining an immaculate vintage look down to the smallest details while also concealing new top tier components installed as needed to ensure optimal functionality. Few circuits are more desired and emulated than the narrow panel Tweed 5E3, and this amp delivers everything you’d expect from a well cared for amp from the last iteration of the Tweed line. Incredibly dynamic and harmonically rich, the Deluxe can be glassy and clear at low volumes, but for most players the magic is in this amp’s overdrive capabilities. Especially when connecting the two channels with a small jumper 1/4 cable, the interactive pair of Volume controls can dial in everything from fully saturated roar and snarl, to the particular sweet buzzy qualities with ideal midrange bite that you often times can’t coax out of any other Tweed circuit. This amp reacts well to a host of effects pedals and different guitars, but truly shines with the guitar plugged straight into the amp, using your volume knob to coax clean rhythm tones and singing leads with the twist of a knob. The circuit boasts the original Triad power transformer, with a Mercury Magnetics Tone Clone output transformer, made to exacting vintage spec with open end bells. All of the original CTS pots are intact, with matching date codes from the 43rd week of’58, and the preamp features new Mallory and Jupiter tubular caps installed inside the original molded yellow Astron casings. Similarly the smaller electrolytics and main filter caps feature new top tier Sprague components concealed inside the Astron Minimite wrappers, and even the original end caps for the capacitors have been reused. It’s the most exacting restoration work we’ve ever seen on a 5E3 circuit, and a gray three-prong power cable has also been installed. The tubes are all vintage USA-made RCAs with a matched pair of 6V6s. The original Jensen P12R alnico magnet 12 driver has a very clean teal frame and Jensen sticker, professionally reconed with a date on the edge of the frame from the 37th week of’58. The speaker retains the original speaker harness with cloth covered wire and stock 1/4 input as well. The other most pertinent date code is the “HL” stamp on the bright white tube chart, which translates to December of’58. The chrome on the chassis is incredibly clean, shining like few Tweeds still do with all of the original white silkscreened text present along with stock chicken head knobs. Even the original leather handle is still intact. The lacquered tweed is original and notably un-ambered, with the only wear of note being a single cigarette burn on top, while the oxblood grillcloth is modern on the original baffle. Hardware includes the original screw-in feet, Fender Deluxe badge, and handle ends. Check out our shop “Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar, ” and please let us know if we can answer any questions! Vintage 67 National Bass Amp Tube Amplifier 70 C12n Jensen, Supro Valco Airline

When it comes to pure, simple, straight forward style and tone… THIS IS THE DEAL! Designed to work for bass or guitar it is BEAUTIFUL, STUNNING, AWESOME. This is a VINTAGE 1967 NATIONAL BASS AMP. MODEL 70 TUBE AMPLIFIER with TWO C12NA JENSEN SPEAKERS, THINK SUPRO, VALCO, AIRLINE. It is a combo amp with two independent 35 watt. Power amplifiers, one for each speaker. It is complete and functions properly. The controls are clean, no scratchy pots. The tube line up… Two matched pairs of Russian Sovtek 6L6′s (one pair branded Fender, the other branded Electro Harmonix), a USA RCA 12AX7 and a Russian Winged C 12AX7. It has a few dings and scuffs and some light staining of the grill cloth, but overall in exceptional condition, especially considering it is over 50 years old. There are three different tone setting that give you control of the bottom end of the tone spectrum… Guitar=light bass, Hi Bass=more bass, Low Bass=rich, thick, meaty, all-you-could-possibly-want, most bass. This amp sounds awesome. Articulate, clean power even at higher levels. BIG KNOBS, CHROME CHASSIS, GOLD’NATIONAL’ LOGO, SILVER SPARKLE GRILL CLOTH, TWO TEXTURES OF TOLEX with PIPING, REFRIGERATOR HANDLE… A 1960′s WORK OF ART! I never use UPS. As a basic test I have operated this amp for at least 4 hour recently and it did not fail, smoke, blow fuses, etc. Old electronic can fail at any time. Old electronics are scratched, worn, chipped, cracked, dirty, dusty, stained, ugly, tinkered with, missing parts, etc. The exteriors have wear that includes cuts, holes, tears, scuffs, missing stitching, missing or replaced feet and knobs. In the course of servicing over the years, they typically do not have all original components. Old electronics typically hum and have scratchy controls. You should not have to live with something you are unhappy with for any reason. If you alter, modify, change or “repair” the item in anyway without my consent, you are accepting the item “as is”, at the price paid. All items are packed for safety. Often requiring reassembly, tuning and/or adjusting. We will work through the claim together until things are right. 1960 Fender Deluxe Tweed Pre-CBS Narrow Panel Vintage Tube Amp 5E3, Jensen P12R

Up for sale, a 1960 Fender Deluxe in excellent condition and in perfect working order. Few circuits are more desired and emulated than the narrow panel Tweed 5E3, and this amp delivers everything you’d expect from a classic and well cared for amp from the last iteration of the Tweed line. The circuit is extremely original, freshly serviced by our techs here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with new Sprague Atom filter caps and smaller electrolytics. The full complement of original yellow Astron caps are intact in the preamp, with original Stackpole pots which date to the 6th week of’60. The original transformers are intact, with a Triad power transformer and a Schumacher output transformer, dating to the 24th week of’60. The amp is loaded with a full vintage tube set too. The speaker is the original Jensen P12R alnico 12 driver with a very clean teal frame and a recent recone. This speaker dates to the 30th week of’59, and retains the original speaker harness with cloth covered wire and stock 1/4 input as well. The tube chart is intact and crisp with one missing corner (where the date stamp would typically be located), and thankfully the chassis itself retains the identical “JJ” stamp, translating to October of 1960. The chrome on the chassis is incredibly clean, shining like few Tweeds still do with all of the original white text present along with stock chicken head knobs. In similar condition, the original tweed shows light ambering, with some minor requisite scuffing on the edges of the cabinet and some staining and wear on the lower corners. Both back panels are original as well, as is the oxblood grillcloth with gold stripe, while the leather handle is a modern replacement. This Deluxe is an example that will satisfy collectors and serious players alike, and the amp has recently been given a clean bill of health, ready for your next gig or studio session. Check out our shop “Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar, ” and please let us know if we can answer any questions! 1955 Fender Princeton Tweed Small Box Vintage Class A Tube Amp 5E2, 1x8 Jensen

Up for sale, a 1955 Fender Princeton in exceptional condition and in perfect working order. This narrow panel Tweed amp is the particularly rare “small box” example only offered in 1955, with a more compact enclosure identical to the Champ. The flawless tube chart and matching two digit P00057 serial stamped on the chassis speak to the early nature of this model, being the 57th narrow panel Princeton ever produced. The original tweed is uniformly ambered and very well-kept, and is one of the rarest and most unique golden-age Fender amps to come through our shop of late. The circuit couldn’t be more simple and pure, with single Volume and Tone knobs and a Class A circuit design, powered by a single 6V6 power tube. The tone is articulate, dynamic and commanding, with the sizzle and churning overdrive of a Champ, but greater ability to sculpt the tone. The top end response is just right, and the amp doesn’t get too trebly, with a nice wooly warmth and reconed original Jensen 8 speaker, making the Tone control quite usable and giving the circuit the ability to handle ample low end without sounding loose or over-burdened. The circuit is 100% original, with untouched solder joints save for a substituted era-correct two-prong power cable The circuit retains its original Triad transformers, and the original Stackpole pots, carbon comp resistors, and red “dynamite” Astron capacitors are intact. Visible codes on the Stackpole pots dat3 to the 43rd week of 1954. All of the original caps both in the preamp and power supply are still functioning as intended, a testament to the longevity of Fender’s amps and component choices. The tubes are all vintage valves include a vintage RCA 5Y3, Hytron 6V6 power tube, and a UK-made 12AX7. The speaker is original and a particularly rare alnico Jensen, stamped “EE” just to the right of the magnet, matching the identical stamps on the chassis and tube chart. The tube chart is notable for its well-preserved condition, with perfect corners, handwritten serial number, and “EE” date stamp which translates to May of 1955. The tweed is 100% original with light, uniform ambering, and some minor staining below the grillcloth, attributable to “bleed out” from the original rivets pinning the tweed. There are also two small holes on the upper back panel from a removed, non-original cable wrap. The original leather handle is intact and incredibly clean, as is the gleaming chrome faceplate with original silkscreen text and chicken head knobs. This amp is a true rarity given its condition, and this particular example has been carefully tested and inspected to ensure originality and ideal functionality. 1954 Fender Tweed Deluxe 5D3 Vintage Tube Amp 1x12 with Jensen P12R & Cover

Up for sale, a 1954 Fender Deluxe in excellent condition and in perfect working order. The precursor to the narrow panel 5E3 circuit, this 5D3 “wide panel” Deluxe is an exceedingly well-kept and very original example, complete with the original transformer compliment and Jensen P12R speaker. This amp reacts well to a host of effects pedals and different guitars, but truly shines with the guitar plugged straight into the amp, using your volume knob to coax clean rhythm tones and singing leads with the twist of a knob. The circuit retains the original Triad transformer pair, and the chassis is remarkably clean, The preamp features original red Astron “dynamite” capacitors, Stackpole pots, and carbon comp resistors, with modern premium USA-made filter caps and smaller electrolytics to ensure optimal performance and reliability. The amp is loaded with a complete set of vintage RCA tubes including a matched pair of 6V6s. The speaker is the original Jensen P12R alnico 12 driver with an extremely clean dark green frame. This speaker dates to the 46th week of’54, and retains the original speaker harness with cloth covered wire and stock 1/4 input as well. The other most pertinent date code is the “DL” stamp on the very clean tube chart, which translates to December of’54. The chrome on the chassis is incredibly clean, shining like few Tweeds still do with all of the original white text present along with stock chicken head knobs. In similar condition, the original tweed shows modest ambering, with some minor requisite scuffing on the edges of the cabinet and on the corners. Both back panels are original as well, as is the oxblood grillcloth and even the original leather handle. This Deluxe is an example that will satisfy collectors and serious players alike, and the amp has recently been given a clean bill of health, ready for your next gig or studio session. A vintage-style slip cover is included. Check out our shop “Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar, ” and please let us know if we can answer any questions! Up for sale, a 1965 Silvertone model 1485 piggyback tube amplifier in excellent condition, freshly serviced and in perfect working order. A vintage USA-made amp crafted by Danelectro for Sears’ house brand Silvertone, the amp features the original dolly and sextet of matching Jensen C10Q speakers, loaded with a new properly biased small bottle Tung Sol 5881 (6L6) power tube quad. The 1485 as advertised by Silvertone pushes a whopping 120 watts, but stripping away the marketing, this amp functions closer to 100 watts via the power tube quad. Extremely powerful and articulate, these amps have much more headroom, punch, and top end response than the smaller 1484, and can produce both bold cleans and roaring overdrive. The smooth articulate crunch of this model has found favor with players across the spectrum, and it responds very well to pedals too. Both channels feature a pair of inputs (high and low) and both channels share the built-in Reverb and Tremolo effects. While the Tremolo has a nice strong pulse that gets quite thick and deep, the Reverb is infamous in its own right for its thin, trashy sound that’s perfect for lo-fi and surf tunes, with a unique gain structure and chiming top end character. The circuit has been thoroughly overhauled by our in-house techs here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar and the amp is a robust, gig-worthy machine, featuring a fully recapped power supply while retaining a bevy of original capacitors and carbon comp resistors. The stock output transformer is intact, while the power transformer is a heavy duty replacement, along with a modern Heyboer choke. The original CTS pots date back to the 32nd week of’65. The speakers are a particularly clean sextet of original Jensen C10Q 10 drivers, with minty black frames and 1965 date codes. Two of the speakers feature brand new cones, while the other four are original. All of the original barrel knobs are intact on the polished aluminum faceplate, which also retains all of the original black silkscreen text. The amp retains its original charcoal covering which shows some honest wear on the edges of the cabinet and head enclosure, and the original grillcloth has plenty of sparkle in the gold thread. The head secures into the back of the cabinet with the original swiveling nylon tabs, and even the original dolly is included, secured to the bottom of the cab. The original two-button footswitch is included. Check out our shop “Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar, ” and please let us know if we can answer any questions! We use double thick boxes, 1″ foam, and industrial 1/2″ bubble wrap to ensure that your amp arrives safely.
