This 90s First Edition Fender Blues Junior sounds AWESOME! It punches WAY above its class. I normally only like to play Fender’s true 1960s amps, and own several, but this little amp really surprised me. I can promise you won’t be disappointed! Everyone knows that the older USA made ones are better. Better parts, more careful construction, same story as with Fender guitars. Nice quiet signal to noise ratio, no unwanted hum! Rare Vintage 1940s Johnson Junior Guitar Amplifier. Made by Johnson Sound Systems of Brandon Manitoba. Did I say Rare? I meant Super Rare. I know of only a handful of amplifiers existing from Johnsons in Brandon, of any model. And only 1 Junior. And this Junior is in “like new” original condition. Cosmetically excellent, and is working nice and clean. All parts and components are original. A rare chance to own a rare Amplifier from an iconic Canadian music/guitar shop from the past. From local estate, I plugged in my test micriophone, does work, but I noticed the Volume control is loose and the input jack is loose…. And the volume goes from soft to loud when you adjust, so I suspect bad volume control….. That way you can test and see what I mean. Bring something to test with.. Need detailed and cleaned, the green vinyl is peeling in corners. Around the controls needs q-tip cleaned… Is priced to sell. The reverb also seems to work. I did only a very basic test. Final sale, again may need work on volume control and jack is loose…. Please see all pictures and use zoom feature. Often the pictures describe the item better than words. Fender Pro Junior tube amp, covered in vintage blonde tolex. This first generation Pro Junior delivers classic Fender sound in a compact size, made in USA. Two EL84 power amp tubes and two 12AX7 preamp tubes, one volume and one tone pot for a pure authentic sound. With the tone knob fully open, you can get that famous Fender crystal clear sound. Speaker has been changed for. Please note there have some been modifications so that this does run as loud as a regular Fender Pro Junior (I don’t know any more than that, but have included some circuit photos). The volume is much lower, it does not distort when the volume is 6, or above and the tone is notably a lot warmer. The internal speaker is connected into the chassis with a jack plug, so you can pull this out and use an external speaker box (for example 4 x 12 at 8 Ohms) if you want. Thank you for looking.
