Vintage Pair Lafayette La-70 Mono Tube Amps / Amplifier Serviced /restored

These amps are in a rare excellent condition. Both were sent to a local repair shop for a complete service and restoration with new parts. Please see pictures for details. I do have the old parts, but unable to find it at the moment. If I do find them, I will include them if needed. These amps are in perfect working order producing wonderful powerful tube sound of 70 watts per unit. Here is the specification on this LA-70. These were built in 1958/59. These amplifiers are sturdily constructed with a heavy steel chassis and steel ventilated chassis cover. The LA-70 includes a single RCA input and 4, 8, and 16 ohm outputs as well as controls for bias level, bias balance and damping. Also included is a built-in meter with A-B switch for maintaining bias adjustment. The amplifier utilizes two KT88 or 6550 power output tubes, one 6AN8A preamp/phase inverter/driver tube, and one GZ34/5AR4 rectifier tube. Weight is approximately 35 lbs. With dimensions of 14.5″w x 12″d x 7.5h. Pair of LA-70 mono amps. 8 tubes: 4 large KT / 6550 GE tubes; 2 mid-size. GZ34/5AR4 rectifier tubes; 2 small. 6AN8A preamp/phase inverter/driver tube.
