Vintage Marantz 8 Vacuum Tube Power Amplifier EL34 30 WPC Tested & Clean Overall Unit. This listing includes one Vintage Marantz Model 8 (S/N: 2913) Vacuum Tube Power Amplifier with its tube cover and in clean overall tested working order. This early Model 8 appears to be in original overall condition. We have removed the bottom cover (has one broken foot) to show the original components as shown. Amplifier plays very well through both channels with clear and powerful output. This amplifier has been in Southern CA for many years; there are no signs of corrosion; with only light signs of surface pitting on a few exterior spots. Unit appears to be in very nice overall condition – inside and outside. With all vintage 50-60 year old tube equipment we would suggest the new owner has a qualified technician go through the unit first to bench test and check all older resistors, caps, etc. Please note: original power cord appears frail and should be replaced soon. Power output: 30 watts per channel into 8 (stereo). Frequency response: 20Hz to 20kHz. Total harmonic distortion: 0.1%. Input sensitivity: 1.3V. Signal to noise ratio: 90dB. Speaker load impedance: 4 to 16. Valve complement: 2 x 6BH6, 2 x 6CG7, 4 x EL34. Dimensions: 13.5 x 7.25 x 10.5 inches. Please review all attached photos; and be sure to ask any questions.
