1954 Fender Tweed Deluxe 5D3 Wide Panel Vintage Tube Amp 1x12 with Jensen P12R

Up for sale, a 1954 Fender Deluxe in exceptional condition and in perfect working order. The precursor to the narrow panel 5E3 circuit, this 5D3 “wide panel” Deluxe is an exceedingly well-kept and very original example, complete with the original Triad transformers, Jensen P12R speaker, and a vintage tube complement. Incredibly dynamic and harmonically rich, the Deluxe can be glassy and clear at low volumes, but for most players the magic is in this amp’s overdrive capabilities. Especially when connecting the two channels on the three input circuit with a small jumper 1/4 cable, the interactive pair of Volume controls can dial in everything from fully saturated roar and snarl, to the particular sweet buzzy qualities with ideal midrange bite. This amp reacts well to a host of effects pedals, but truly shines with the guitar plugged straight into the amp, using your volume knob to coax clean rhythm tones and singing leads with the twist of a knob. The circuit retains the original Triad transformer pair, and the chassis is remarkably clean. The preamp features original red Astron “dynamite” capacitors, Stackpole pots (with visible date codes from the 43rd week of’54), and carbon comp resistors, with modern premium USA-made filter caps and smaller electrolytics to ensure optimal performance and reliability, sleeved in the original Astron Minimite wrappers for a seamless vintage look. The amp is loaded with a complete set of vintage tubes including a matched pair of Sylvania 6V6s, a GE 5Y3 rectifier, and Tung Sol and Sylvania valves in the preamp The speaker is the original Jensen P12R alnico 12 driver with an extremely clean dark green frame. This speaker dates to the 46th week of’54, and retains the original speaker harness with cloth covered wire and stock 1/4 input as well. The other most pertinent date code is the “DL” stamp on the very clean tube chart, which translates to December of’54. The chrome on the chassis is positively gleaming, shining like few Tweeds still do with all of the original white silkscreened text present along with stock chicken head knobs. In similar condition, the original tweed shows limited ambering, with some minor requisite scuffing on the edges of the cabinet and on the corners. Both back panels are original as well, as is the oxblood grillcloth and even the original leather handle. This Deluxe is an example that will satisfy collectors and serious players alike, and the amp has recently been given a clean bill of health, ready for your next gig or studio session. Check out our shop “Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar, ” and please let us know if we can answer any questions! We use double thick boxes, 1″ foam, and industrial 1/2″ bubble wrap to ensure that your amp arrives safely. 1958 Fender Deluxe Tweed Narrow Panel Vintage Tube Amp 5E3 Circuit, Jensen P12R

Up for sale, a 1958 Fender Deluxe with stunningly clean tweed in perfect working order, boasting the original Jensen P12R speaker and loaded with a vintage tube set. This Tweed has been incredibly well cared for, with a practically perfect chrome faceplate and expertly maintained circuit, retaining an immaculate vintage look down to the smallest details while also concealing new top tier components installed as needed to ensure optimal functionality. Few circuits are more desired and emulated than the narrow panel Tweed 5E3, and this amp delivers everything you’d expect from a well cared for amp from the last iteration of the Tweed line. Incredibly dynamic and harmonically rich, the Deluxe can be glassy and clear at low volumes, but for most players the magic is in this amp’s overdrive capabilities. Especially when connecting the two channels with a small jumper 1/4 cable, the interactive pair of Volume controls can dial in everything from fully saturated roar and snarl, to the particular sweet buzzy qualities with ideal midrange bite that you often times can’t coax out of any other Tweed circuit. This amp reacts well to a host of effects pedals and different guitars, but truly shines with the guitar plugged straight into the amp, using your volume knob to coax clean rhythm tones and singing leads with the twist of a knob. The circuit boasts the original Triad power transformer, with a Mercury Magnetics Tone Clone output transformer, made to exacting vintage spec with open end bells. All of the original CTS pots are intact, with matching date codes from the 43rd week of’58, and the preamp features new Mallory and Jupiter tubular caps installed inside the original molded yellow Astron casings. Similarly the smaller electrolytics and main filter caps feature new top tier Sprague components concealed inside the Astron Minimite wrappers, and even the original end caps for the capacitors have been reused. It’s the most exacting restoration work we’ve ever seen on a 5E3 circuit, and a gray three-prong power cable has also been installed. The tubes are all vintage USA-made RCAs with a matched pair of 6V6s. The original Jensen P12R alnico magnet 12 driver has a very clean teal frame and Jensen sticker, professionally reconed with a date on the edge of the frame from the 37th week of’58. The speaker retains the original speaker harness with cloth covered wire and stock 1/4 input as well. The other most pertinent date code is the “HL” stamp on the bright white tube chart, which translates to December of’58. The chrome on the chassis is incredibly clean, shining like few Tweeds still do with all of the original white silkscreened text present along with stock chicken head knobs. Even the original leather handle is still intact. The lacquered tweed is original and notably un-ambered, with the only wear of note being a single cigarette burn on top, while the oxblood grillcloth is modern on the original baffle. Hardware includes the original screw-in feet, Fender Deluxe badge, and handle ends. Check out our shop “Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar, ” and please let us know if we can answer any questions! We use double thick boxes, 1″ foam, and industrial 1/2″ bubble wrap to ensure that your amp arrives safely. The full complement of original yellow Astron caps are intact in the preamp, with original Stackpole pots which date to the 6th week of’60. The original transformers are intact, with a Triad power transformer and a Schumacher output transformer, dating to the 24th week of’60. The amp is loaded with a full vintage tube set too. The speaker is the original Jensen P12R alnico 12 driver with a very clean teal frame and a recent recone. This speaker dates to the 30th week of’59, and retains the original speaker harness with cloth covered wire and stock 1/4 input as well. The tube chart is intact and crisp with one missing corner (where the date stamp would typically be located), and thankfully the chassis itself retains the identical “JJ” stamp, translating to October of 1960. The chrome on the chassis is incredibly clean, shining like few Tweeds still do with all of the original white text present along with stock chicken head knobs. In similar condition, the original tweed shows light ambering, with some minor requisite scuffing on the edges of the cabinet and some staining and wear on the lower corners. Both back panels are original as well, as is the oxblood grillcloth with gold stripe, while the leather handle is a modern replacement. 1959 Fender Deluxe Tweed Vintage Tube Amplifier 5E3 Circuit, Jensen P12R

Up for sale, a 1959 Fender Deluxe in exceptional condition and in perfect working order. A golden era narrow panel tweed amp with an incredibly detailed and dynamic range of tones, this amp is loaded with a full compliment of vintage tubes. At low volumes this Deluxe can deliver sparkling cleans that are round and powerful, with two distinctly voiced channels that overdrive beautifully. There’s plenty of rich roar and sizzle on tap when the amp is pushed to its max, and the single tone knob has ample range for sculpting the low end or adding treble zing. Especially when connecting the two channels with a small jumper 1/4 cable, the interactive pair of Volume controls can dial in everything from fully saturated snarl to particularly sweet, buzzy qualities with ideal midrange bite that you often times can’t coax out of any other Tweed circuit. This amp reacts well to a host of effects pedals and different guitars, but truly shines with the guitar plugged straight into the amp, using your volume knob to coax clean rhythm tones and singing leads with the twist of a knob. The circuit is virtually untouched, with original transformers, undisturbed solder joints, and CTS pots that date to the 6th week of 1959. Of course all of the famed yellow Astron capacitors are present in the preamp as well, giving the amp a certain sweetness that no modern cap can match. The power amp has been professionally recapped, and the new F&T capacitors are fitted in the original Minimite sleeves for a clean, original look. The tubes include a matched pair of Serviceman 6V6s with a General Electric 5Y3 rectifier and USA-made valves in the preamp too. The original gray two-prong power cable is also present. The stock Jensen P12R alnico 12 speaker is present and has a clean teal frame, stock bell cover and Jensen label. On the edge of the frame, the speaker has a 220847 date code for the 47th week of 1958. The tube chart is intact and extremely clean, with paper that is barely faded, crisp corners, and an “IC” code, dating the amp to March of 1959 (the latest date on the amp). The chrome on the chassis is particularly clean, with all of the original white lettering present on the faceplate, along with stock chicken head knobs. Even the original handle is included and unbroken with only a bit of fraying on the ends. The original tweed is intact and notably well kept, with only minor wear on the corners, and a bit of light staining and a stray cigarette burn or two on the top. The back panels are modern replacements, carefully aged to match the original tweed on the enclosure. This is a remarkably clean and stock 1959 Tweed Deluxe that will please discerning collectors and serious studio players alike! Check out our shop “Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar, ” and please let us know if we can answer any questions! We use double thick boxes, 1″ foam, and industrial 1/2″ bubble wrap to ensure that your amp arrives safely. Up for sale, a 1950 Magnatone Troubadour model M-192-5-S in exceptional condition and in perfect working order. Produced early in the Magna Electronics era of production (generally considered to be the pinnacle of vintage Magnatone quality and design), this 1×12 tube amp is extremely original and has been thoroughly gone over by our techs here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar. With two channels and a preamp driven by octal tubes, the amp has a complex, sweet, and harmonically rich tone that sounds very natural and dynamic. The amp lets the voice of your guitar’s pickups shine through and has a distinctly different response with every guitar that’s put in front of it. Single coils can sound jangly and clear, while P-90s and humuckers can easily push the circuit into rich overdrive. The circuit retains original Triad transformers, very similar to what one would find in a similar tweed Fender Deluxe, and the amp has been freshly recapped as necessary, while retaining original pots and most of the original signal caps and resistors in the preamp. The faceplate is remarkably clean with all of the original graphics as well as the trio of chicken head knobs. The amp is stocked with a complete compliment of vintage tubes including a 5Y3 rectifier and matched RCA 6V6 power tubes. The Jensen P12R speaker is original and extremely valuable in its own right, with a clean deep green frame, foil sticker on the alnico magnet, and clean date code from 1950. The polished black pearloid material and original grillcloth are in remarkable shape, and the amp even retains the fragile waterslide decal “Magnatone” logo on the amp’s face. There is some chipping of the pearloid on the left side of the cabinet as well as some scuffing and wear on the bottom of the cab and back edges. This amp is one of the earliest Magnatone’s we’ve ever had through the shop and will satisfy discerning collectors and studio players alike with its original Triad transformers, Jensen speaker, and vintage tube set. Check out our shop “Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar, ” and please let us know if we can answer any questions! We use double thick boxes, 1″ foam, and industrial 1/2″ bubble wrap to ensure that your amp arrives safely. International orders will be declared as merchandise, and the value of merchandise will be declared as the amount paid. We cannot declare anything as a gift or for a lesser value.
