Vintage Tube Amp

The amp is missing a tube and due to it’s age, will most likely need repair. I have not attempted to plug in and turn on the amp to avoid potentially damaging it. Up for sale here is this vintage Bell PM10 Pacemaker single-ended mono tube integrated amplifier, probably from the mid to late 1950s and made in USA. This is a fairly rare and very sought-after amplifier, especially for guitar use. This is tested and is in working condition. It does play music clearly. These are supposed to make killer guitar amps. A previous owner replaced a few of the under-chassis capacitors, but there are still some vintage caps under there, as well as plenty of carbon comp resistors. There are two wires sticking out of the chassis, which would normally go to the pilot light. You could redo this with a pilot light underneath, add a pilot light on top, or just leave it as-is. Physical condition is good–this has light to moderate wear overall but nothing too bad. The faceplate and knobs are in nice condition and look good. This does not have a top cover/cage but is otherwise complete with all hardware, tubes, knobs, and bottom. It uses a 5Y3GT rectifier (JAN National Union), a 6L6GB output tube (Sylvania), a 6AV6 (probably US-made, but I didn’t look), and a 12AX7 tube (Westinghouse Made in Japan). All tubes are included and seem to work fine, but are not guaranteed. The power cord appears to be original and is not cracked or brittle, but it does have a few scrapes here and there, though none are deep enough to be a problem. This is tested and does play music. It sounds good and has no hums or buzzes. There is a super-tiny bit of noise in the background but it is extremely quiet and if you were using this as a guitar amp you certainly wouldn’t notice it. This has two inputs–the old-style screw-down mic input and an RCA input. It has two speaker outputs on the back, both of which give you the option of 4, 8, or 16 ohm taps. You could replace those with 1/4 jacks fairly easily if you wanted. Please see my pictures for details. If you have any questions, please ask. This is a vintage Epiphone EA-50 Pacemaker all tube combo amp. With two inputs and one “Loudness Knob”, this 10 Watt amp can go from a gentle clean to full-on rip when turned all the way up. It is ideal for recording , as well as an awesome bedroom-style practice amp standing at just over one foot high. Here is a very cool as well as rare and collectable tube powered, mid-sixties Vox Pacemaker in very good condition. This is the all tube version of the Pacemaker design with the original transformers but it has been upgraded with a Celestion speaker. It has recently been serviced and received new capacitors where needed and a three prong grounded plug. The amp sounds and works excellent and compresses nicely for that classic Vox crunch when cranked, it also has a very cool clean tone and swampy tremolo for that 60s retro vibe. Note I do have the upper back panel for the amp and it will be included but was off of the amp when photographed. All and all a very neat and rare little amp.
