This wasn’t serviced as it seems to be working just fine. Without even using an external antennae the unit pulled in local stations. The cat’s eye tube is working and is very cool.

Sherwood S8000 IV Receiver Beautiful Cosmetic Shape Pulled From Working Console VTG Tubes and all tube shields. Tested everything seems to be working such as Tuning section, the various inputs and channel and all lights. All knobs and POC’s were cleaned may be some a couple knobs that need alittle more cleaning to assure any scratchiness has been eliminated. Even though working I’m not sure when the last servicing was and I would strongly recommend it being fully serviced or restored due to its age. Please ask any questions prior to purchasing.

Sherwood Model S-5500 Stereo Tube Amplifier. To my knowledge, it is in original condition. I have not removed the bottom cover to examine wiring, etc. Nor have I removed the existing tubes to examine their condition.

Vintage Sherwood S5500 ii Integrated Tube Amplifier W/ housing. CLEAN W/Original Owners Manual as pictured. Cosmetically it literally looks like I got it off the show room floor! There are no scuffs or scratches on this unit nor is there anything wrong with it to my knowledge. I have only used aux 1 and phono inputs. The phono inputs are extremely powerful. Volume knobs have been cleaned with electro wash, but other than that that’s all I have done to the unit! I have ran the unit at a 4 ohm and an 8 ohm load and unit performs great. This unit is a tube amp and you get a true 64 watts. I recommend turning the Gain up a little over half way and using the loudness knob to adjust volume. This unit has a lot of bass and can cause a tube rumble if the turntable is on the same shelf as the amplifier. I will make sure to professionally pack this amplifier and box it up with all precautions taken. I will have the tubes labeled with drawings showing which location the tubes have been previously operating in. I will also individually pack each pre amp tube and the two smaller output tubes and have them labeled.
