Has some typical corrosion on some metal parts, which adds to the allure! This Champ is an exceptionally great sounding one. Based on the transformer codes, it is from 1972. Fender logo with tail. It has some really good tubes in it. I’m trying to sell some nice vintage gear I don’t use much anymore…

This was custom modified to send 10 watts per channel, great vintage warm and balanced sound. I can send video demonstrating sound quality. The previous owner did the modifications and they were a professional. Can answer any questions to the best of my ability. This is a unique vintage amplifier. Will include aux cord and speaker wire. Used to play music and guitar at the same time!!! Has the case cover.

Both units still look very good. One of the black transformer boxes has a small dent in the back. Both sound fantastic, no hums or buzz. Authenticaps can caps were replaced new. Contrary to what ignorant people on the internet say, this amp is NOT a clone of the Blackstar Ht20. The latter is a cathode bias amp, thus it has a soft, spongy distortion. But if you play rock, hard rock, hard edged blues and you want a type of sound like Marshall, Orange, Hiwatt, etc, you need a FIXED bias amp, which the G20 is (I have asked a Bugera tech). This bias style will give the exciting, powerful, brutal type of power amp distortion like the amps mentioned above, not the soft and spongy type. Another point about why the Blackstar HT 20 and the G20 could not be more different amps, is that the Blackstar HT has a clean power amp of the clinical type. The Bugera G20 has a ton and a half of power amp distortion when you crank it to max. Lastly, the Blackstar does not feature servo bias (Infinium). You will not find another budget priced amp with servo bias, for you see this type of high tech on a tube amp, only on some amps by Hughes & Kettner, which cost 3 times or more than the Bugera. The servo bias is basically an amp tech into the amp… With FIXED bias amps such as the Bugera, you would have to reset the bias correctly every time you change the tubes. Not only that, you dont even need matched tubes (which costs more than unmatched), for the Infinium will take care of all that. AND, it continually balances the load on the power tubes, which means that if one is more worn than the other, the other one will take some of the load off the worn tube. That means that a set of tubes will last significantly longer, probably several years at least. And preamp tubes usually last forever anyways. So, the only thing in common between the Blackstar HT20 and the Bugera G20 is the COLOUR : Wow. How does the G20 sounds? It will cover ANY main tones as used in pop, blues, jazz, hard rock, and more. Crank it up to full and you will be greeted with impressive power amp distortion. As said, the Blackstar HT series has a clean power amp. One Blackstar I have that HAS a lot of power amp distortion, is the Series One, not the HT Series. I have two of these Bugera amps and bought one as backup but I dont really need it. The build quality is also very good: check out some of the metal film resistors in the pics, as well as ceramic tube sockets (not plastic) and an handle in real leather. In short: if you want a REAL tube amp (not these worthless digital and VST surrogate things), that has servo bias, that costs the same as an indifferent sounding solid state amp, in a portable package, this one certainly fits the bill. Keep in mind that this amp sounds a LOT louder than ANY 20 watts solid state or digital amps. And if you boost the FX loop, it will probably put out close to 40 watts anyways. Vintage McIntosh MC225 tube amplifier Amp Sounds Amazing Original Condition. It appears to be original, most if not all of the capacitors look original. Its sounds excellent, no hums or any sound issues. Its missing a couple of the speaker screws as shown , still enough to hook up a pair of speakers, when connecting the rca wires the right connector you need to just turn the wire for a connection, probably needs a new soldier joint but really is not a issue and once connected for sound doesnt cut out, and doesnt need replacing immediately. Aesthetically there is light chrome pitting mostly in the front where the connectors are , the area where the tubes are has just very light wear, the cage and transformers are very clean! Here’s a great Pilot model PT-1030D mono tube amp. This amp puts out about 15 watts of sound to an 8 amp speaker load. Speakers are hooked up to the black and red wires from the speaker plug on the amp. There are 6 vacuum tubes. The rectifier is an Amperex Bugle Boy 6CA4/EX81 tube. There are two 6BQ5/EL84 tubes. One is a Telefunken and the other is a Mullard. The three ECC83/12AX7 tubes are ribbed Telefunken tubes. All are the real deal. The only testing they have had are in this amp and they sound good so they have never been removed from the amp. The old cord was removed and replaced with a grounded power cord, fuse and rubber feet for safety. Most of the capacitors were replaced except for the ceramic discs and can capacitors because the amp is very quiet. All out of tolerance resistors were replaced. All other components on the amp like the faceplate, knobs, transformers, etc. Are original to the amp.
