Vintage Tube Amp

All vintage tubes, preamp tubes are Telefunken ECC83 (12AX7′s), RCA 12AU7′s, tube rectifier is an RCA branded Scott tube. Some parts upgraded/replaced for improved reliability, most importantly the first multi-section cap of the power supply. The bottom metal plate was missing when I got it, so I had an aluminum plate machined to fit. I have put sliders on the bottom plate so that you can have the preamp be on your furniture without the wooden chassis. The sliders also help make the preamp more snug after sliding it into the wooden cabinet. Adjustable level trim pots for Tuner, Tape recorder, Extra (CD Player). Besides the Left and Right channel output, there is a Center channel output. There are a few marks or stains on the chassis and front panel commensurate with its age. Wooden cabinet is very basic one that fits many of the HH Scott amps including this one. But it is functional. I just slide the Model 130 in, nothing fancy. If you want to officially attach the pre-amp to the cabinet, that will be your project. All in all, this is a great tube pre-amp. It has always worked well for me (I have never used the tape recorder ins and outs). But it really sounds nice with beautiful stereo imaging. The Scott Model 130 pre-amp has an excellent reputation.
