Comes with original paperwork shown for the Pilot amp. Amp works but is scratchy sounding on different functions and needs a cleaning. I did not try any other functions. Nice Vintage Brass Face Fisher X-1000 Stereo Tube Integrated Amplifier in Wood Cabinet. If you know this machine then you know that it is a very complex over engineered? The preamp section has a number of unusual circuits. The Aux inputs are tied directly to the Tape Monitor inputs. There is a strange Center Channel circuit. There are also 2 features called’Spacexpander’ and’Dimension’. Typically, these features are disabled or modified for modern listening usage. There is also a 9 pin socket at the rear for a remote control unit. In this particular unit the Remote Control socket has been bypassed. The 2 resistors and 2 capacitors that tie the Tape Monitor to the other Inputs have been removed to give a Tape Monitor a clear pathway past the noisy gimmicky circuitry. Line inputs into the Tape Monitor sound fantastic. Nice, quiet and clean. All of the other Inputs work but are somewhat noisy to my ears. The Power Amp works fine and the bias adjusts properly. The preamp tubes are mostly original Fisher branded Telefunkens. The output tubes are all Mullard (2 branded Tesla; 1 GE and 1 Daystrom). One of the amber jewels on the front panel has been replaced. Nice & Clean McIntosh MC240 Stereo Tube Power Amplifier. Works as it should. Looks and sounds great. All controls have been cleaned. The troublesome Selenium rectifier & circuit has been replaced with a stable modern equivalent. The thermistor and 2 other electrolytic capacitors have also been replaced. As far as I can tell everything else is all original. The 12AX7 and 12AU7 preamp tubes are Telefunken. The output tubes are Blackplate RCA 6L6′s 2 of which are badged McIntosh. The potentiometers date to 1965. Nice clean solid working unit. Includes all tubes shown.
