Made by Danelectro for sale through Sears and Roebuck in 1963 the Silvertone Amp in Case Guitar was one of the first recognizable brands to offer as a package a Guitar and Amplifier All in One. It still has the inside shielding with the Original masking tape!! I did not open it so I can’t read the pots to get the exact year. I’m guessing it was made in 1963. This one has a Great Sounding Amplifier that truly surprised Me with its Volume, Tone and Tremolo. It was pretty loud and rivals my 70′s Fender Vibro Champ for sound. I was so surprised.. I don’t know about how any others Silvertone Amps sound but this particular Tube Amplifier sounds far better than I expected. There are still at least 2 Silvertone Tubes in there and all are Vintage Tubes. The Case is in Excellent Condition and all the latches and Handle work Great. The Guitar plays Great and again, better than I expected with low action and smooth playability. Judging from the condition it doesn’t appear to have been played much at all, see pics. The neck is thin and fast playing, with a great in hand feel that doesn’t slow you down and no fret wear hardly at all. I mean for a 55 year old guitar it is way above what I usually see. I stand behind this and know You will be happy, check My Feedback.. The neck is straight and a blast to play. Overall I’d rate this a 9 out of 10 for condition. I took plenty of pictures and although it has a small rub or ding here or there, it is in very nice shape. But if You live across the Country then I’ll cover the difference.
