This is a really clean example from the 1950′s before Magnatone got bought by Estey (Magna Electronics) Speakers are original and never re-coned and sound fantastic. Tubes are not original. New caps where needed (not much) and a modern grounded power cord has been added. Plug it in and rock out. Of course the legendary pitch shifting vibrato is there. In my opinion this is the best vintage Magnatone model ever made. Enough power to play with a band and the tubes aren’t ridiculous to find when you need to replace one. This is the one. This listing is for 2 Grommes Monoblock Amplifiers. They were just gone through and had a couple mods made. The powers supplies were just rebuilt and the selenium rectifiers were removed. A self-biasing circuit was also installed. The gain, DC balance and dampening adjustment are all working as they should. I had just had these amps running on the bench and they sounds great. The amps are guaranteed not to be DOA but due to their age they can not be warrantied beyond that. Power Tube(s): 2X 6550. Preamp Tube(s): 12AU7 (one uses 2 and the other uses 3).
