Recapped as needed, tubes changed as needed Case very nice as face, knobs good with some coloring on centers. Overall a pretty clean unit, have a nice matched pair on bench now to be offered up shortly.

This was an estate sale find. I was on the hunt for a unit I could restore while I picked up bits and pieces of electronics knowledge. Well I decided the high voltages involved were perhaps not the kind of project for a neophyte. I have just been admiring this and a few others I collected and decided to pass them on. Vintage Heathkit EA-3 Amplifier -Excellent! -All Five Fire -Read All. Excellent: Unit face looks great, has some scratches and paint loss. Case looks good and is free from any noticed damage. Unit has been tested and works great! I plugged in one side of my cassette deck up and was surprised at the sound from my little test speaker. All tubes are glowing and this thing seems to be rocking. There is some scratching from the volume knob and I have not opened and cleaned the inside at all. This same owner had a AR-1 Receiver and a BC-1A however I was only able to procure the assembling manuals which are listed and filled with his notations if you are interested see my other listings.
