Tested, Serviced and upgraded. It has been kept as stock as possible, with only the parts needed to perform its best being changed. Comes with Brand new Matched Quad of TAD EL34-STR REDBASE Power Tubes. Comes with two Speaker cables, Canare 4S11 with small audioquest spades on one end and Banana plugs on the other. This is a pretty well cared for ST-70 that has been serviced multiple times over the years, including just recently and sounds very nice. In addition to the TAD EL34′s it Includes 4 rather old. Other tubes include 2 GE 7199′s. Rectifier has been rewired out of circuit and replaced by solid state rectification, although the tube remains in the socket for looks and receives heater voltage to light it up. All capacitors have been updated. Coupling capacitors and others were replaced with high quality polypropylene film caps for the best sound quality possible. All filter caps have been replaced. Checked and replaced as needed. The chrome has some small pitting and small rust spots but it’s in very good shape compared to most ST-70′s. Quite a lot of solder joints were redone to keep it as trouble free as possible. Cage is in very nice shape. This is the last year they were hand wired with almost all of it’s original parts in tact. A three prong cord was added for safety and 1K screen resistors were added to prolong the life of the EL34′s. Other than that it looks like 2 of the coupling caps were changed to Orange Drops. The outside of the amp has typical wear for a 44 year old amplifier. The amp sounds phenomenal and it will get LOUD! The inside of this one is CLEAN.
