Mint condition early 1973 Marshall 50 watt. Marshall switched from the black “pilot” switches to the silver later. This was my “go to” amp when I wanted to pretend to be Yngwie. Has a master volume mod that puts the presence control in the back and the master volume knob in front in the presence position. Has JJ EL34L’s, does not need anything, just plug and play. I have not played much in almost 15 years, but I would fire this up every couple of months to keep it healthy. All service was done by the legendary Harry Kolbe in NYC. Comes with George L jumper cable.

1998 Marshall 1987X MKII 50-Watt Plexi Guitar Amplifier in excellent overall condition. This Made in England plexi is built to last forever and it works perfectly with zero issues. It was recently serviced and sounds outstanding! It has a few very tasteful mods that were professionally done, including a PPMIV Master Volume, an optional push/pull Bright Cap mod on the Lead Volume, a common ground bus, and new main power tubes. Everything else is all original. The PPMIV Master Volume is located where the Presence knob normally is and allows for ultra high gain at bedroom levels. Since this 50-watt amp is so loud, the master volume is a welcome addition. The Presence knob has been moved to the rear. The push/pull Bright Cap is located at High Treble Loudness 1 and is completely disengaged when pushed in. When pushed out it adds extra brightness to the high frequencies resulting in extra gain and it sounds glorious. The common ground bus makes the amp completely silent and all volume levels and lowers for much more clarity in your sound. The original tolex is in good condition overall with a couple small tears and scuffs here and there but nothing major. The handle works perfectly. Marshall Vintage Reissues Sound Exactly Like the Original! Though the 50-watt Marshall 1987X shares the same front and rear panel features as its big brother, the 1959 SLP, it does have its own distinct personality. Sweet warm singing sounds are packed into every nook and cranny of this great tone machine. Mix two channels together for a totally unique sound. Vintage Marshall through and through. The main characteristic that these amps share is their simplicity of operation and superb natural valve tone. The result is pure, majestic tone uncluttered by unnecessary circuitry. This produces a big, round, warm, sustain, full of classic character. With chord work you get a bark and percussive attack with a natural sounding breakup, which allows each note to ring out in a glorious musical crunch. Mix two channels together for a totally unique sound With the Marshall 1987X, you can mix the two channels together by connecting a short, screened patch lead between the second input of channel one and the first input of channel two. If you then plug your guitar into the first input of channel one, you can mix the different tonal characters of each channel for greater flexibility! For sale is a vintage 1982 Marshall JCM800 Model 1992 Super Bass MKII 100 watt tube amplifier head. This is an amazing sounding amp. It delivers a warm, punchy clean tone for a surprisingly loud range, the typical gritty drive you expect from a Marshall when cranked. This is an early 80′s model with the sought after vertical inputs. This amp is in perfect working order. The only issue of note is some scratchiness when adjusting the treble and volume pots. This is not an issue once you get your settings dialed in. The amp appears to be original with no circuit modifications. It has aftermarket Sovtek power tubes and Mesa preamp tubes. It is in used condition with cosmetic wear. The back plate/tube protection plate is missing, unfortunately. There are a few spots where the tolex has ripped, but nothing too major. Some of the plastic on the corners and the vent cover have chipped next to where it was riveted in. Overall, it is in good shape for its age. SELMER ZODIAC TREMOLO 50 MKII. A mid-60s 50W Selmer plexi panel amp just back from a service with our amp tech. It is in excellent working order and sounding superb. The cosmetic condition is good overall for the age and the grille cloth is intact, but it has some wear and tear including cracks in the plexi, mainly towards the logo side of the face. The handles and casing have noticeable scuffs and wear including areas where the bare wood is showing. In Good Vintage pre-owned condition. Overall has some signs of wear from use like scuffs / scratches, dirt / staining / discoloration and dings / nicks here and there, big tear on bottom. Will need a good cleaning / polishing. Power light does not light up and missing 5 knobs. Hooked it up to a speaker source and you can hear the amps hum feedback.
