This appears to be a very cool piece of electrical testing equipment or diagnostic equipment of some kind. Im not actually sure what it is or what its purpose is. It appears as if it could be some sort of experimental oscilloscope, early television, early amplifier, or some sort of other piece of testing equipment. The whole thing is 3 separate units on a rack that connect in the back. If you have any insight into what it is or what its purpose may be Id love to learn more about it. The metal for the chassis of each piece has a very nice swirl design so some rela craftsmanship went into building this. The rack has wheels but the rubber is so old it has started to degrade and break down making them no longer usable. The last picture shows a page with details of tube types. See photos for details. The empty octal socket on the chassis is likely for a plug-in type transformer. Further research and reverse engineering of the wiring may help yield a better idea of what this unit was used for. There is wear from use/storage like scratches, scuffs and dust. Comes with one Jones plug and tubes. 2 x General Electric 12AX7. 1 x RCA 6AQ5. 1 x General Electric 6X4. This is a very early golden age RCA Monitor amp from the famed Sun Records 76 Console. This monitor amp is also PERFECT for the audio lovers out there who use RCA turntables and wanna listen to music on this incredible amplifier! Has huge UTC input and output transformers. The transformers all test perfectly. The input transformer reads 5k on the ohm meter which is actually 50k ohms the normal mic/line ohms for the secondary of the input transformer. Also reads perfect for the 150 ohm and 300 ohm inputs on the primary. The output transformer reads perfect too as shown. The amp has not been tested further or turned on. It needs FULL restoration before it is turned on. What you see is what you get. It has wear and tear throughout but should restore easily with a tech. This is the holy grail for audio listeners or recording folks. This monitor amp can also be used as a mic preamp or line amp. (4) 6j7′s and a pair of 1621 power tubes which are 6v6/6L6. From the home of a professional sound technician that worked in TV and radio in the 1950s, 60s, and 70s. It has a full compliment of tubes in the amp section, and the speaker for these units was apparently supplied by JBL. Please see pics, you will receive exactly what is shown. This unit has not been plugged in, powered on, or tested in anyway. It is ready to go to a proper technician that will test and power it up properly. Unit appears to be in very clean condition – abundant photos are provided. I was unable to determine whether this unit is a 620 or 622. There’s no identification tag on the unit, and it does not come with the original top cover of the suitcase cabinet. From what I read the 620 and 622 were virtually identical with just a few minor differences. The amp section, a 6V6 10 watt mono, was apparently identical in each model.

1950s Collins 356B high gain tube preamp or program / monitor amplifier. Same circuit as the Langevin 117a. The original, excellent, ADC transformers are guaranteed but this unit has been untested and the original capacitors must be replaced before applying power. Fantastic preamp for high gain use (ribbon mics, etc) once restored. Datasheet, schematics and test harness included. Tubes included but untested.
