Everything on this amp works flawlessly. I replaced the torn tolex shortly after receiving it and replaced a capacitor in 07. I recently had the VIB switch in the footswitch replaced. Grill cloth is as I received it (probably original). On the tube sticker inside the cab, (See pics), I question the tale of the letter “Q”. It almost appears to be a squiggly line through what may be the letter “O”. “Q” would indicate the year 1967. “O” would indicate the year 1965. Chassis #A 00152 indicates 1964. Transformer #606343 Indicates 1963. Far and away, the outstanding feature of this amp is the Celestion G12 Vintage 30 speakers made on Foxhall Rd. These speakers came with the amp when I acquired it. These speakers are highly efficient and slightly louder than most. It is located here in southern, Colorado. The Fender Princeton Reverb is one of the crown jewels of mid-’60s and 70′s combo amps. This classic amp added a tube-driven reverb circuit to the popular Princeton student combo, and has been among the most widely used recording amps since its introduction in 1964. 12 to 15 watts of power from a pair of 6V6GT tubes can be fairly clean, or can push the speaker into submission with an absolutely perfect, tight drive sound. The reverb is luscious and mates well with the tremolo circuit to bring some ambience to the sound that truly cannot be emulated with any kind of modern stomp box. This has had all the modern maintenance done professionally with a fresh bill of health from our tech team. Caps and resistors have been upgraded, the 2-prong cable has been upgraded to 3-prong (for safety purposes), the speaker has been upgraded to an alnico 12 speaker (very light weight with a glorious sound), and tubes have been carefully selected to give this amp an unrivaled sonic presence. In the V1 position we have placed an RCA 1950′s long black plate 12ax7 which we believe to be the perfect tube for its soundscape. I would highly encourage using a BrownBox or similar voltage reducer to protect this amp from the modern wall voltages. It truly preserves the tone and ensures the life of the components. This is a Fender Princeton Reverb Amp. The amp comes equipped with a factory Celestion Ten. This little amp sounds great. Classic Fender tone and vintage eye appeal! This one is in great condition. It has been played and enjoyed but has only very mild scuffs and signs of use. No tears or notable wear to the Tolex or grill cloth. Control panel is clean and bright. Up for sale, a 2008 Marshall JTM45 2245 vintage reissue tube amp head in near mint condition and in perfect working order. Marshall’s meticulous recreation of their original and highly coveted 30 watt circuit, the JTM45 is a two-channel four-input affair, driving a pair of 5881 (6L6) power tubes and boasting a GZ34 rectifier. Yielding plenty of volume and punch, this pure and dynamic Marshall circuit really shines when jumpering the two channels for cascading gain and fine-tuned overdrive textures. It’s a straightforward, top-tier Marshall circuit, virtually untouched since it left the factory save for a pair of more recent, properly biased power tubes. The smooth black tolex is practically perfect save for one small scuff on the back panel and a tiny bit of wear on one back bottom corner. The plexi control plate is clean as can be with its full compliment of knobs, and the small Marshall logo and gold piping top off this spectacular JTM45 reissue. 1969 Fender Twin Reverb Guitar Amp vintage tube amp. NOT REISSUE, CHASSIS ONLY.. I got this amp because it looks trashed and perfect for hot rod project. But after plugging it in and looking it over it’s almost all original. It really just needs a real faceplate and knobs. Or a Blackface faceplate would work as there’s no master volume. Lots of tone/EQ change when you turn the knobs. I used a short Accutronics 3 spring tank to test and Reverb sounds deep and lush. Tremolo works too and is really deep. There are some spits and crackles when turning knobs but goes away after it warms up. Who knows how long it’s been since it was fired up. All in all a really cool vintage 1969 Fender Twin Reverb in working, but cosmetically challenged condition.
