Sherwood S8000 IV Receiver Beautiful Cosmetic Shape Pulled From Working Console VTG Tubes and all tube shields. Tested everything seems to be working such as Tuning section, the various inputs and channel and all lights. All knobs and POC’s were cleaned may be some a couple knobs that need alittle more cleaning to assure any scratchiness has been eliminated. Even though working I’m not sure when the last servicing was and I would strongly recommend it being fully serviced or restored due to its age. Please ask any questions prior to purchasing.

Nice condition 1966 Vintage Ampeg Jet J-12D version. Please look carefully at the photos. Don’t hesitate to ask for more photos. Check out the tolex and grill cloth on this one. This killer little combo amp is in sweet condition and I doubt you will find another 1966 vintage Ampeg Jet J-12D anywhere close to being this clean cosmetically. These Ampeg J-12D models are getting scarce, are highly sought after (for many reasons), and are very collectable. Light weight and super portable. Not to mention, built like a miniature tank. The build quality is top notch. Ampeg used quality parts and paid close attention to detail with these little gems. There is some fading of the silk screen on the faceplate, which is consistent with these amps of this vintage. Most Vintage Ampeg Jets we have seen have the silkscreen on the control panel almost completely rubbed off and missing. This happens over time and with a lot of use. This little Jet is all original and un-molested. It sounds wonderful at any volume. You’ll be surprised at the power of this little gem. Pedals really shine when used with this amp. He really hates to let it go, but he’s gotten older, doesn’t play much anymore, and says. It’s time to clear some things out. He takes great care of all his instruments and gear, and is very meticulous. He’s owned this amp for well over 20 years and says it has served him well at home and in the studio. He said it has never been on a live gig as long as he has owned it. Like other Ampeg amps of this era, the Jet 12 experienced some variations both in its enclosure style as well as in its electronic configuration. Up for sale is an amazing rare gem of an amp by Gibson….. Gibson is revered (and documented) as one of the top two guitar manufacturers in the world, but they are highly underrated as amp makers. This exquisite piece of work is remarkably it’s own animal….. Not really attributable in sound to any of the “big 3″ amp makers: Marshall, Fender or Vox. This amp has a voice all its own, and is very decidedly, well…. The clean is a nice “jazzy clean, ” which I believe is the genre for which this amp was originally made. And the tube complement along with the speakers and the ENORMOUS transformer really gives this amp a nice, warm and huge sound! There is no master volume on this amp, so to get any gain and/or drive, you have to keep turning this 18 watter up until you get the dirt to your taste. If I was to describe the amp’s overdrive in “big 3″ terms, I would describe it as a jangly vox meets a not so dirty Fender tweed amp. It has an excellent sounding onboard tremolo (which is turned on and off with the included 1-button footswitch) The power tubes are not very old. The preamp and other tubes are RCA and are a little older. The power cord/plug is of the safer 3-prong variety, which is always a good thing! This is a very hard to find bird. This girl is trying to find its one in a million home. But if you do, I promise you, you will not regret pulling the trigger on this immediately!
