A friend of mine passed away and this amp was given to me to sell. I have no idea about it. I don’t believe it is working. I haven’t plugged it in. The cage is in great shape with no rust. The chassis is in beautiful condition and should be brilliant when polished. I have included two 7199 tubes that could be helpful for a rebuild. The tubes are untested. They are shown in the photos. Included is the assembly manual. On the front cover is a history of the updates. They are in pencil and a little difficult to read. On the top of the cage is a piece of tape that appears to say: 7-19 L + R? I’m guessing this item needs to be re-tubed. They are inside the cage wrapped in paper. They are kind of grouped near the location from which they were pulled.

This pair is pulled down from a working EICO ST70 tube amplifier. They are all tested, clean. I also have its power transformer. Price is for a pair!

The Cathode resistors have been replaced with 100 ohm resistors allowing the use of 6L6 (5881) as well as the standard EL34 tubes. Model: Stereo 70 – ST70. Power Tubes: Tung-Sol JAN-CTL-6L6WGB (broken guide pins). Preamp Tubes: Dynaco 7199. Rectifier Tube: Shuguang 5AR4 (broken guide pin). The tubes missing the guide pins are marked for proper orientation. Please see pics for actual condition. Original Dynaco Dynakit Stereo 70 – Fully Working with Mod. Our loving office amp has been replaced. Fully working and has been reliable for 6 months. This ST70 has served us well. Very lush and full bodied sound. Seems to have original driver board but it looks as if there was a mod made at some point that added a daughter board. It may also have something to do with the missing mono/stereo switch. Overall condition is very good for its age. Some patina on the metal but probably can be polished. Some harder to get off dust but generally pretty clean. Grill is in great condition with only a couple minor paint chips. The mono/stereo switch was not installed and runs only in stereo. This can be fixed with parts orders online. Please note with any vintage electronics that there is a chance that a part might fail or need replacement. This has been reliable but you never know. Plenty of manuals and info online in the event you need to replace a part down the line. Please message me once you have made ordered the item. Great amp as is or fantastic restoration piece.
