1971 Fender Bandmaster Reverb BF mod blackface vintage tube amp head TL5005D
Saturday, December 9th, 2017This is a 1971 Fender Bandmaster Reverb. The normal channel is blackfaced. It is the perfect pedal platform. Crystal cleans until about half volume then slowly adds a little dirt as you turn it up. The reverb channel has a few mods that make it great for just plugging straight in and rocking. This channel has an added master volume, the mid pot was changed to provide more mids and the channel has a slightly higher gain structure. Reverb and tremolo sound marvelous. I used the amp with a AB box switching channels for dirty and clean. Included are some of the original parts from repairs over the years and the thumb screws for attaching the head to a cabinet. Good tubes with very few hours on them. Newer J&J 12ax7 & 6L6, brand new NOS JAN Phillips 12at7, Russian made Fender 5u4gb.
