I bought these in 2005 to build a tube audio stereo system. That system did not get built and now these original A-7s are available. Heathkit amps of the postwar era are beautiful straightforward designs that produce amazingly warm audio. The A-7 uses a 5Y3 rectifier, a 12SN7/12SL7 driver, and 12A6 output tubes. This is an extremely rare mid-century hi-fi amplifier built during UTC’s golden era and designed around original UTC transformers throughout.
