A new grounded power cable added and both units tested and working AS IS. These may benefit from a full recap. This was a state sale find from woodside California and was plugged in every thing worked. Now no power at all. Was upgraded to new cabinet 18.5 by 18.5 by 19. By a professional radio shop for the ladies husband in the 80s it looks beautiful. Just don’t enough knowledge to figure out why not powering up. When it was working prior. Has every thing in the one cabinet the tube amp and tuner all wired and mounted solid. Or can meet within 60 miles for a better price. Only to lower 48 states only.

Here’s a really cool tube amplifier. It has mic (or guitar) level input and also line-level input. The phono-plug mic-level input has sensitivity 0.02 V for full output and the RCA line-level input has sensitivity 0.3 V for full output. A two way speaker system in the front which sounds awesome and is really fantastic with a vintage microphone. There’s certainly some potential here for a busking guitar amp or a harmonica amp. All the electrolytics were replaced with F&T or other high quality replacements, Coupling capacitors were replaced as well. No more leaky drifting wax caps. They are well testing vintage tubes. A 6X4 Rectifier, 6V6 Power tube and 12AX7. It operates without issues. Its been brought up to electrical safety standard with a grounded AC cable and a fuse holder was added. These were not fused from the factory. It’s sure to leave you with a repair bill soon after.

Vintage Altec 356A Voice Of The Stars Vacuum Tube Amplifier. Power switch is broken did not appear to turn on when plugged in. Other knobs and switches seem to move as intended.

Tubes aglow-a strong heart beats in an old cage! This little beast sounds great, but due to its age and the nature of tube gear, I cannot give it an absolutely clean bill of health. Hear with your ears and look with your eyes. Fully functional, but it may need some sprucing up and/ or modification to suit your needs. Also, note the absence of some screws on exterior of the chassis. Thanks for looking, and if you’d like to own TWO of these, check my other listings. NOTE: the sticker on this unit lists it as an extension speaker. I suspect this was added at some point in its life. It is in fact an 8810.

Vintage Voice of Music 6V6 tube amp. This one has been on the shelf waiting for a guitar amp conversion, but it’s time to go. Would make a great platform for any DIY tube amp project. Please see the pictures, and feel free to ask any questions.

This is an untouched Voice Of Music chassis with all of the original parts. The amplifier is two EL84 in push-pull with a 12au7a and a 6au6 in the front end. This is being offered’as is’ and untested. The tubes are long gone and will not be included.
