Amp works just as it should. Nice and warm Scott sound. Wood case is brand new as I made it myself for this amp. Fits perfect just as it should. Metal top is 14 gauge stainless steel mesh sheet so it is ridiculously strong, sturdy and overbuilt. Wood is 3/4 oak mdf with gunstock finish and two coats of poly satin to match the original period color. Amp comes with full complement of tubes. Russian 6p14p-ev subbed in for 7189 as equivalents. These are highly regarded tubes that will stand up to the higher current compared to el84s. Much of the lettering on the back of the amp is worn off. This amp could use a good cleaning and at some point will prob need cap work. It has always worked perfect for me so I never changed anything. The writing seen in the pics around the tube sockets is not etched into the metal, it is pencil and can be cleaned off. I got the amp this way and just never cleaned it off.
