This Scott 99-C is in fair cosmetic condition. The front panel has some slightly bent corners and is a little dirty, but should clean up nicely. The knobs appear to be original but are certainly worn. One of the transformer casings has paint flaked off and some surface rust in that area. The 6L6GC tubes are from Eastern Europe or China (not sure which), but the the rest are vintage American tubes. Someone has installed some newer capacitors under the chassis, but I don’t know who did that work or when it was done. The amp seems to be playing well and sounds good! Please keep in mind that the tubes have not been individually tested and we cannot guarantee their condition. The bottom line is this… You’ll receive your item on time and in perfect condition regardless of how big, heavy, or delicate your item may be! When new, this amplifier was built from a kit. I found the ad (photo #9) in an Allied Radio catalog for 1958. In those days phonographs and even FM tuners were monophonic. So this amp has just one channel. Your signal source can be mike, tape deck, or phonograph. Many choices of input and equalization are available. Output to one hi-fi speaker with impedence of 4, 8, or 16 ohms. For the demo video an RCA 45 changer is shown, but only the amplifier is for sale. The amp has 6 tubes and the clean output power is 18 watts RMS. Photo #13 shows the tape out jack and access hole for V1 on the bottom. #11 input jacks; #12 speaker terminals.

Great Collector’s Item from 50+ years ago……… Vintage Lafayette 1971 Model. 12/25/1971 Diagram is included. Recommend Deoxit contact cleaner for static free sound. The last photo shows speaker wire conversion kit. The kit is not included in this sale. This type of amplifier does not meet electrical code. Not isolated from power line, can be a shock hazard.

On the outside, the unit has rust and some wear, but no dents or damage. The internals are very clean. The bulbs are in fantastic condition. Please use zoom to examine everything closely. David Bogen J130 Push Pull 6L6 Tube PA Amplifier. Tested and works well for Audio/Music or Microphone/Guitar. Includes microphone to 1/4 jack adapter for electric guitar use. This amplifier was plugged into a 4 x 12 speaker cab for testing. It has screw connectors for 4, 8 or 16 ohm cabinets. Packard Bell DPA 30-3 Push / Pull Tube Amplifier with EL84 output tubes. It also includes 2 Packard Bell marked 7025 (low noise 12AX7) preamp tubes; see the last picture for tubes. Works Well; It powers on when plugged in. The tubes are all marked “Packard Bell” and all test good on an emissions type tube tester (Sencore TC154). The 5U4 rectifier tube tests good, but its guide pin is broken. An extra 5U4 tube will also be included; It is a GE tube and it also tests well. The speaker plug in connectors and 10 foot cables are also included. This amplifier is modified with a jumper wire (colored white) so that it powers up when plugged in. That is the only modification. This tube amp was recently tested using a CD player plugged into a pre-amplifier, plugged into the input jacks. I listened to an entire CD with no problems (all tubes work, no smoke or no hot transformers).
