Vintage Stromberg Carlson # 20 Amplifier
Up for your consideration is a vintage Stromberg Carlson number 20 tube PA amp that was converted to a guitar amp. It is in really nice cosmetic condition and has 1/4″ input jacks and a 1/4″ speaker jack installed along with a lot of cap replacements and a nice heavy 3 prong ac cord installed. I was using this at one point but it quit working and if I remember correctly my tech said the output transformer was shorted. You can see a burnt wire in the pictures of the chassis underneath. I cut it on with all the tubes installed and they all glowed and there was no smoke but I got no output so that seems to verify what I remember. I will include all the tubes but the rectifier and 6l6 output tubes because I need them for another amp. This would make a very cool platform for a custom built with the attractive deco stying.
