The Fender Deluxe VM (Vintage Modified) Tube Amplifier (Type PR 772) is a 40-watt hybrid guitar combo amplifier manufactured by Fender between 2009 and 2012. It stands out for combining a classic, real-vacuum-tube power section with a solid-state preamp and a built-in Digital Signal Processing (DSP) effects suite. It uses actual tubes for its 40W power amplification stage and overdrive stages, while relying on high-quality digital processing for onboard effects. Features built-in digital effects including Fender reverb, chorus/vibrato (with rate and depth controls), and a tape-emulation delay (with time and repeat controls). The Clean channel features Volume, Treble, and Bass. The Drive channel features dedicated Gain, Volume, Treble, Middle, and Bass adjustments. Tonal Profile and Usage. Delivers the classic, high-headroom, crisp “Blackface” Fender clean sound that handles external pedals well. Moves from a subtle, bluesy crunch to more aggressive, modern overdrive distortion. It is considerably lighter than many traditional all-tube 40W amplifiers. This makes it a popular “grab-and-go” combo for gigging guitarists who want built-in effects without hauling an entire pedalboard. 2 x 12AX7 (preamp/drive stages) and 2 x 6L6 (power stage). Two channels-Clean and Drive. 17.5″ H x 24″ W x 10 D.
