This is an early Sansui SM-32 hi-fi stereo tube receiver/amplifier. The unit is untested. I have not powered it on and do not know its operating condition. It is also missing some of the vacuum tubes, so it should be gone through by a qualified technician before any attempt is made to use it. Cosmetic condition is shown in the photos. The chassis has oxidation/corrosion, age wear, dirt, scratches, and other typical vintage wear. The faceplate presents fairly well overall, but there are flaws and wear visible. Vintage RCA MI-9289-B professional tube power amplifier, offered in as-found and untested condition. The chassis is factory marked MI-9289-B and retains its RCA identification plaque marked Radio Corporation of America, Meadowlands, PA, serial number M2004. The amplifier appears largely original and unrestored internally, retaining its large transformers, meter assembly, controls, wiring, tube sockets, and extensive original-era components as pictured. The amplifier retains tubes in the chassis positions marked RCA-6SN7GT, 12AY7, RCA-6L6GC, and both RCA-0D3 positions. All four factory-marked 6550 output tube positions are empty. The installed tubes have not been tested and are included as found. Cosmetically, the amplifier shows considerable wear from age, use, and long-term storage, including dust, grime, oxidation, discoloration, scratches, and general surface wear throughout. The meter is present and the front controls move mechanically. No attempt has been made to clean or cosmetically restore the unit. Due to its age and apparently unrestored condition, I have not attempted to apply power to the amplifier. It is completely untested and should be inspected and serviced by a qualified technician prior to use. No representation is made regarding the electrical condition of the transformers, tubes, capacitors, meter, or other components. This is an exceptionally substantial piece of vintage RCA professional audio equipment and is being offered as pictured for restoration. Serial Number: X49843 (Stamped on the original rear metal badge, firmly dating production to 1952). Front Badge: Features the classic blue and bronze Oahu Publishing Co. Badge in fantastic shape. Control Plate: Displays the distinct Valco Chicago 51 graphics. &####128266; Specifications & Tube Lineup. Speaker: Features the original silver-frame 10 Rola Alnico speaker (Stamped with factory specification code 550-3). Preamp Tubes: Vintage octal-envelope 6SQ7 and 6SC7 tubes. Vintage Sylvania Model SCO3M dual-speaker tube amplifier from the late 1950s. This is a compact vintage tube unit with built-in dual speakers, original-style controls, wood cabinet, and vintage grille cloth. It is in very nice cosmetic condition for its age, with only normal signs of age/use as shown in the photos. This unit has not been modified with a modern 1/4 guitar input and appears to retain its original-style rear connection/configuration. Very clean vintage condition. Bass, Treble and Loudness controls. No added 1/4 instrument jack. Please review all photos carefully for exact cosmetic condition.

Up for sale is one H. I powered it up with a Variac Transformer. This could be a great project for someone who wants to tinker. Manufactured in the late 1950s (around 1958). It includes a multiplex output jack anticipating future external stereo decoders before the FCC officially approved the FM stereo standard in 1961. Utilizes a direct-drive tuning setup through a planetary gearset (vernier tuning) rather than a traditional springy dial-string. Built using Scott’s wide “C” case/chassis format.
