Vintage Tube Amp

For sale is a cool oddball amp. Magnatone twilighter 260r twin 10 amp. Got this on a recent estate pick. Will need work and servicing. Ive never had it working or tried. Just assumed whoever buys it will know more about it than I will. Information found on Google. Twilighter was a brand Magnatone used on a line of amplifiers during the late 1 950s and the early 1 960s for LoDuca Brothers in Milwaukee. The LoDuca Brothers were a maior distribution company in the 1960s. Magnatone (Estey) built these amps, which were almost all clones of Magnatones, and put a Twilighter logo on the front instead of Magnatone. Essentially all Twilighter models should have a corresponding model with Magnatone. Known models include the Model 213R. Any further information on Twilighter amps can be submitted directly to Blue Book Publications. Amplifiers previously produced by Magnatone during the late 1950s and early 1960s. Please look over all pictures and ask any questions prior to purchasing.

For parts or repair. Untested, no tubes, no power cord. One of the switches is missing a plastic piece. 2 holes drilled in the top of the case. Shows some dirt and wear. See pictures for details and condition.

Really good sounding National 51. Everything looks original except for the tubes. The amp doesn’t have a real high volume unless you add a overdrive to it. The video is of the amp cranked up as high as it will go without any extra fx. I used a Fender Strat to play through the National. Video was made with just a simple cheep camera. I’ve remove all glass tubes and pre packed this amp very good for safe travels.

Very nice sounding tube preamp. It works great has been tested. Please note has some broken parts where you connect the output as you can see on pictures. Doesn’t affect but be careful connecting the rca. Vintage 1960′s Fender Eminence 12 8ohm Guitar Amp Brown Tolex Wheat Grille Cloth.

This is a very old amp.. Can see in the pics the tubes glowing.. Not sure what its for.. Weights about 22 pounds.. Measures 17 inches long.. Cord has been added on to (pics).. Screws holding the top cover to the bottom.. Couple screws are not original.. But holds it on.. There is no cover on the bottom.. Please check all pics..

Preowned vintage condition with signs of use and age wear, NOTE this is a vintage glass tube amp model, so please do some homework on this unit to make sure this is something you want to get into, this unit could use some work to dial it in to perfection, loud hum do to age issues with capacitors or ground issues, auto play does not work as it should with albums, record player, plays as it should with the original what seems to be cartridge/needle, plays 4 speed no issues, sounds pretty good, all knob controls function as they should, power cord not original, does work, overall really fun unit here, just trying to pass it on to the right user, any other questions please ask, will answer to the best of my knowledge.

The product is a rare vintage electronic communication tube amplifier made by GE in the United States. Specifically, it is a model 4ER19A1 tube amplifier, featuring the iconic GE brand. Used by fire departments and police departments for dispatch. Believe from the 50s. May need restoration to function properly.

Recapped as needed, tubes changed as needed Case very nice as face, knobs good with some coloring on centers. Overall a pretty clean unit, have a nice matched pair on bench now to be offered up shortly.
