Up for sale, a 1963 Ampeg Jet J-12-A vintage tube amp in perfect working order. Not to be confused with the numerous “Jet” reissues offered by Ampeg over the decades, this is a genuine original J-12-A, freshly serviced by our techs here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar and converted for use with 6V6 power tubes. The tone is thick, complex, and clean, with a surprising amount of headroom and punch. Of course maxing out the volume can yield everything from a throaty overdriven roar to fizzy sizzle, and the character of the overdrive can be easily sculpted with the tone control. Top things off with a thick, throbbing tremolo and you have a very impressive amp. The chassis has clean chrome plating with original transformers. The stock CTS pots have visible date codes from the 37th week of’63 and the preamp has been fully recapped to ensure optimal performance. The multi-section can capacitor is original and still functions as intended. The tubes consist of a matched pair of 6V6 power tubes, two octal RCA 6SL7 preamp tubes, and a Sovtek 5Y3 rectifier. Cosmetically, this amp retains the original blue checker tolex and silver sparkle grillcloth with a modern leather handle. The cabinet shows some wear on the back panel and corners. On the chrome faceplate, the majority of the original white silkscreen lettering is also intact.

Vintage custom-built stereo tube amplifier, believed to date from the early 1960s. Tube complement was four 6L6 output tubes, six 6SN7 tubes and two 5Y3 rectifiers. Construction appears to consist of two matching push-pull 6L6 amplifier channels with three front-panel controls per channel. It is constructed with high end components like Cornell-Dubilier, Mallory, Aerovox & others. All transformers have been checked and are guaranteed to have good windings. Amplifier itself has not been powered or operationally tested. No vacuum tubes are included.
This is an early Sansui SM-32 hi-fi stereo tube receiver/amplifier. The unit is untested. I have not powered it on and do not know its operating condition. It is also missing some of the vacuum tubes, so it should be gone through by a qualified technician before any attempt is made to use it. Cosmetic condition is shown in the photos. The chassis has oxidation/corrosion, age wear, dirt, scratches, and other typical vintage wear. The faceplate presents fairly well overall, but there are flaws and wear visible.
